Your Valet cancel switch is set.


Open your glovebox and you will see a pushbutton on the the left side, if memory serves. When this button is set, the power button will be disabled, but the key fob button will still work.
This is for when you Valet your car, you push the cancel button in the glovebox, lock the glovebox, then give the Valet your Valet key, which will not open the trunk or the glovebox. Voila, no Valet rummaging through your trunk :)

Often full gloveboxes will be the cause of the button getting pushed accidentally.

these models have an electrical servo motor that controls the blend door,the mode door,and the air mix door and when the gears get stripped out and wnat close or open all the way they start making this kind of noise.....i am pretty sure this is what your problem is but not to be there cant be 100% sure....this is a common problem on these models.....you can try to switch the temp control.the fresh recirculate switch,and the switch that controls where you want the air to come out....do these one at a time and see if it changes and if so you can determine which one it is.....i hope that this will help you and if i can help in any other way let me know.....let me and fixya know also if i was any help to you at all and a thumbs up and a comment would be appreciated......thanks and good luck......have a blessed day......

I believe that door can be opened. If you can open from inside or outside it must be a latch has come off under door handle...I've seen a cop once take the license plate off a car and stick it between the door jam by the door handle and slide it up and down and the car door came open...Worth a try..And a slim Jim down beside the door handle to catch that latch that's off would be worth a try to

Alternator, pulleys, aircon compressor, transmission: check in that order.

Pay attention to the dash display and see if any warning light blink.

have a windscreen shop check for proper sealant under screen ( may have to remove the screen and check for rust around the glass or have new sealant fitted properly)

Chec ignition coil and module..unplug computer then reconnect..inspect wires on harness etc A bad ground is a hidden issue

I think that is the check engine light, have the dealer scan it, it is most likely under warranty.
