The first thing you need to do is remove the fan and fan cover...you may need to remove some of the cooling hoses to make room and get it out...once you remove the fan and cover you should have more room to work...

Jaguar S-type 2000 fabrication year is equiped with:
1. Control system = Automatic temperature control
2. System layout = Single evaporator - dual zone
3. Refrigerant circuit type = Expansion valve
General information:
1. System control
1.1. Compressor operation controlled by refrigerant pressure sensor.
1.2. Compressor will not operate if refrigerant level is low!
1.3. System incorporates an A/C evaporator temperature sensor.
1.4. System incorporates an engine coolant heater regulator valve.
1.5. A/C control module incorporates self-diagnosis function.
1.6. The A/C control module fault memory can only be accessed and erased using diagnostic equipment connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC). See picture below:
1.7. Engine Control Module (ECM) incorporates A/C related trouble codes.
1.8. Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will iluminate if certain ECM faults are recorded.
1.9. The ECM fault memory can only be accessed and erased using diagnostic equipment connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC).

B1200 A/C control module - internal failure
B1251 In-car temperature sensor - open circuit
B1253 In-car temperature sensor - short to earth
B1255 Outside air temperature sensor - open circuit
B1257 Outside air temperature sensor - short to earth
B1259 A/C sunlight sensor - open circuit
B1261 A/C sunlight sensor - short to earth
B1262 A/C heater defrost flap motor - short circuit, open
circuit, short to earth
B1263 A/C heater fascia flap motor - short circuit, open
circuit, short to earth
B1264 A/C heater footwell flap motor - short circuit, open
circuit, short to earth
B1265 A/C heater air mix flap motor - short circuit, open
circuit, short to earth
B1676 Battery voltage - voltage too low / high
B1946 A/C evaporator temperature sensor - open circuit
B1947 A/C evaporator temperature sensor - short to earth
B1966 Heater output temperature sensor 2 - open circuit
B1967 Heater output temperature sensor 2 - short to earth
B2428 Heater output temperature sensor 1 - open circuit
B2429 Heater output temperature sensor 1 - short to earth
B2477 A/C control module - incorrect programming

Engine rebuild with new piston rings/valves/head gasket, whichever is the cause.

It would be odd for both rear speakers to fail at the same time. I would first check the fader setting and make sure it is not set to only the front speakers.

Check the igniter module.
I assume you have a ecu code telling you #3 coil is missfiring ?
If so also check the crankshaft angle sensor .
If it is not an error code do a compression test and check the injector.

use a fault code reader to determine exactly where the problem is.

If you can do that, instruction for your specific model is in your user manual.

Exactly what it says. the lamp in your front turn indicator is not working - check replace bulb.

Unfortunately there isn't. The key fob is purely a gadget to op the doors and trunk using a localised radio transmitter. You need a proper tracker which you hide somewhere in the vehicle out of sight. Even the GPS is not trackable, it only supplies the location to the person inside the vehicle. There are four likely outcomes The car turns up and it was used by joyriders. It is going to be used in a robbery and will be torched. It will be taken apart for spares. Or it will be on a container ship heading for Africa. I had a Lada stolen, it was found damaged and abandoned near a quarry, it had been damaged in a crash and someone stole the HUGE battery in it. I had a Kawasaki 250 stolen and it was never recovered. Sorry you lost your Jag, I'm British. I believe in Karma :>)

Maybe your keyfob needs a new battery as well

You need to have a diagnostic check done - somebody to connect an OBD scanner and find out if there are any error codes. If any error codes are picked up that will point to the problem. There can be many causes of rough running - faulty sensors. Get a workshop or mechanic to check if there's any error codes first.

You intank Fuel pump is another probable cause. Happened to me twice

Buy a haynes repair book for that model at parts

If the engine will not crank over then check the battery, cables and starter relay. If it cranks then spray a little starter fluid into the throttle body. If it starts then you have a fuel problem. If not a problem in the ignition system.

I have the same problem on my XK8 2005....did you find a solution?

Many cars of that period could be reset by some ignition key sequence.
Try switching from the off position to the on (not start) several times within 15-30 seconds.
It won't hurt anything and might turn off the light.
If the problem is still present that caused the light to go on the first time, it will likely come on again after you start the engine.

I hope the reason for that alarm light has been since corrected.

Some cars needed to have the battery disconnected for several minutes to cancel the memory contents.
Newer cars will not likely respnd to that since flash memory is now common which retains the error code even without power.
