one goes to FPR regulator. and other to evap then both go to the full hard vacuum port on rear of TB or on intake manifold plenum (pre intake runners) there. (oops seen nipplee empty. on all cars made. in fact.(vac FPR) FPR dead like that causes , huge fuel pressure at idle. and burns tons of fuel ,stalls and or floods he engine and melts the CAT (***** of cat and worse) never ever fun any Vacuum FPR , with no vacuum hose pure rotten bad.

The common cause could have faulty ignition switch.use test light to check if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.

You can clear it by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, but you open up a whole can of worms, resetting the anti-theft system and immobilizer, finding the radio code and all the things that need re-learning. The proper way to clear codes is with a scan tool. If you want to clear all historical data, you need a pro grade scan tool COMPUTER, and that is what you need now, not to clear the codes but to diagnose all the computer modules, sensors, and transmission solenoids that are causing the issue. take it back and say FIX IT. or check all fuses and scan the PCM (BCM) see what it tells you? or take it back.

P1797 = Neutral Switch Circuit Malfunction. I am assuming yours is an automatic. On Automatics there is a switch on the transmission that can override the ignition to prevent the vehicle starting if it is in gear. This code is showing a fault in either the wiring to the switch or the switch itself. This is one of those jobs which depends on where the switch is fitted. On some Jags it is fitted (hidden) underneath the battery box so it's not too bad to get to. However, some are mounted on the transmission housing in a typically silly location and it becomes a much bigger job. Personally I would suffer the pain of paying and getting a good mechanic to do it as they will have all the tools to deal with it quickly.

Using the key FOB, turn off the alarm/unlock once the jumper cables are attached and then try to start.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to sub category. Parking on the incline would not cause this. Rack the shift lever all the way back and then forward into park. If that doesn't work, you need a mobile mechanic.

If you ask at a bodywork repair shop, they will tell you what is required by name. Try not to buy Jaguar parts as they are grosly overpriced. They are the same as the Ford parts.

Hello. It seems there is an 'inoperable' fuel injector for #3 cylinder. That fuel injector could be 'clogged' or 'dirty'; yet not sending a trouble code to the ECM. Also, it's possible #3 cylinder has a loss of 'compression'. This, too, will cause a 'misfire'. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
