2004 Isuzu Rodeo. Bypass immobilization feature.

Question edited and add maker. Question moved to model category. The first thing to do is always reset the security system and engine immobilizer. If that doesn't work, you find a local auto electrician. Their pro grade scan tool computer will interrogate the electrical systems and check for DTCs. https://www.google.com/search?q=2004+isuzu+rodeo+immobilizer+reset ..

2002 Isuzu Rodeo 2 wheel drive. How to change the front wheel bearings on it please?

Jason there is no video service on earth showing 100,000 car models and 3000 + parts each to service!!~ eva. so we read the service manual , so can you, answered here 1000 times 2wd, my guess is rust fools you, and lack of pulling tools. I can not watch you do it all wrong did you buy the new hubs first,< not told my answer is for USA spec cars only using spec parts sold at all autostores , like NAPA, no hacking and games. Isuzu bugged out of USA (cars/light trucks) January 2009 are you posting from Australia to North America. I can't guess it. RODEO not the RODEO SPORT right? no country told make answers (accurate) a huge pain USA answer now. 3.6L engine, sorry I do not post them all. we can buy new hubs or just replace bearings and seals in the hub what is your goal.???? no bearing press like me sure. now I will read the USA shop manual on this topic ABS BRAKE SENSORS NOT TO BE DAMAGED. JUST 7 STEPS DO LEARN THAT RUST MAKES TROUBLE HERE. NO VIDEO CAN HANDLE ALL FORUMS OF RUST CAUSED PROBLEMS BOLTS SNAP OFF, ETC.. 7 STEPS NO VIDEO
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Raise and support the front end.
  3. Remove the caliper from the anchor plate and suspend it out of the way.
  4. Disconnect the ABS sensor.
  5. Remove the rotor.
  6. Remove the bolts attaching the hub to the knuckle.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Torque the hub bolts to 76 ft. lbs. (103 Nm).

NO COUNTRY TOLD OR VIN.SCAN THE PCM FIRST (OBD2) FOR TWB ERRORS. (throttle by wire) DTC errorsscan the PCM first at the OBD2 16pin port, USA scans tools work on this car if car is USA car, not told yet.THROTTLE BY WIRE MUST NOT BE FAILING.WATCH OUT FOR ISUZU PARTS NOT SOLD AT SCALPING PRICES. Question edited for clarity, written English, typos and abbreviations Question moved to model category. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Rodeo Look like the design change was later, but 1998 might be iffy unless your 1998 was made in 1997. Isuzu North America also offered a three-door version under the name Isuzu Amigo, sold as the Isuzu MU in Japan. A second generation of the SUV was released in 1998 for the 1998 model year, with the three-door Amigo becoming the "Rodeo Sport" in 2000 for the 2001 model year. HOW TO REPLACE A IGNITION SWITCH ON A ISUZU RODEO

Removal 1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead. 2. Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK". 3. Disconnect the battery "- " terminal cable, and wait at least 5 minutes. 4. Disconnect the yellow 2-way SRS connector located under the steering column. Caution: The wheels of the vehicle must be straight ahead and the steering column in the "LOCK" position before disconnecting the steering wheel. Failure to do so will cause the coil assembly to become uncentered which will cause damage to the coil assembly. 5. Remove the engine hood opening lever and steering lower cover. 6. Remove driver knee bolster (reinforcement). 7. Loosen the inflator module fixing bolt from behind the steering wheel assembly using a TORX 0 driver or equivalent until the inflator module can be released from steering assembly. 8. Disconnect the yellow 2-way SRS connector and horn lead located behind the inflator module. 9. Apply a setting mark (1) across the steering wheel and shaft so parts can be reassembled in their original position. 10. Move the front wheels to the straight ahead position, then use steering wheel remover J-29752 to remove the steering wheel. Caution: Never apply force to the steering wheel in direction of the shaft by using a hammer or other impact tools in an attempt to remove the steering wheel. The steering shaft is designed as an energy absorbing unit. 11. Remove steering column cover. 12. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors located under the steering column. 13. Remove the combination switch assembly with SRS coil. 14. Remove snap ring. 15. Remove cushion rubber. 16. Remove shift lock cable (for A/T). 17. Disconnect the starter switch harness connector located under the steering column then remove lock cylinder assembly.

Cruise control & check trammission light comes on my 2001 Rodeo

I had that problem too and the issue was a loose wire connecting the engine control modude to the crankshaft sensor switch. The engine control module does not sense where the crankshaft position is when the wire moves, and that causes things to go snaky, such as the transmission and cruise lights coming on. This issue took a good mechanic in Syracuse one and a half weeks to find. Total cost was $425.00,$395.00 for labour, and $.99 for the new wire. Good luck!
