when the airbag light is on it is disabled. a scan tool can read the codes that are turning the light on, a common problem is clockspring in the column.

check pressures in the system at 1500 rpm suction side (blue) should be about 35lbs. high side (red)should be no more than 350. radiator fan must run constantly with ac on. if all else checks out, the blend door inside the heater case might not be closing off the heater core allowing heat to sneak by and reduce the cooling effect.

there is usually a transmission cooler in the front of the car. transmission fluid flows through rubber or steel lines to the trans cooler and back. those lines are commonly known to rust and leak.

yes, remove the wiper arms and then the plastic panel at the base of the windshield. everything is under there.

you will have to fix the pump first. then test carefully that fans will cycle on and off without air conditioner. if fans wont turn on , check thermo fan switch.
