GMC Suburban - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
I have two 99 gmc suburbans 4x4 and 2wd could i put the 2wd body on the 4x4 frame?
Yes, there is no real difference between the body or frame of a 2whl and 4whl as long as they are the same length, IE standard cab, crew cap, long bed, short bed... If it is a HD 4x4 you might have an extra hole in the floor of the cab for the shifter lever, but the 2whl should have a block off plate for this. If not, you might need to fab up a patch.

Why does ignition lock cylinder just turn back and forth?
all that must be repaired
is this car fitted out with IMMO and passive electronic keys?
got insurance, all them tell them car was vandilized
may INS CO> have special rules on that. unlike collision.
so call them if if yes, tow car to shop get it fixed on them.
we can not see what this car has there, lots of options!!
the GM car has a RPO list based off VIN full # (all options listed)
and will list IMMO PASSKEY, if there. and is the first thing to do on all cars. made 2decades, or go mad and broke fast.
first things first and fuses good too.
and scan the pCM for IMMO errors, etc.
for sure the key switch was wrecked by them or more.
more happens,

Tail lights not working
ck fuse for rear taillights tis under the dash lower left of steering wheel. or if you still have the manual look in there under fuses.
also look for a bad ground but i doubt that.. if it's both rear out.
fast flashing well here's a chart with all sorts of info.
Problem What To Do
Turn signals light, but do not flash Replace the flasher
No turn signals light on either side Check the fuse. Replace if defective.
Check the flasher by substitution.
Check for open circuit, short circuit or poor ground.
Both turn signals on one side don't work Check for bad bulbs.
Check for bad ground In both housings.
One turn signal light on one side doesn't work Check and/or replace bulb.
Check for corrosion in socket. Clean contacts.
Check for poor ground at socket.
Turn signal flashes too fast or too slow Check any bulb on the side flashing too fast. A heavy-duty bulb is probably installed In place of a regular bulb
Check the bulb flashing too slow. A standard bulb was probably installed in place of a heavy-duty bulb
Check for loose connections or corrosion at the bulb socket
Indicator lights don't work in either direction Check If the turn signals are working
Check the dash indicator lights
Check the flasher by substitution
One Indicator light doesn't light On systems with 1 dash indicator:
- See if the lights work on the same side. Often the filaments have been reversed In systems combining stoplights with taillights and turn signals
- Check the flasher by substitution On systems with 2 Indicators:
- Check the bulbs on the same side
- Check the indicator light bulb
- Check the flasher by substitution
hope this helps. may want to print for future reference. :)
hope this helps.

Blower motor on my '94
The only way to know for sure is to pull the blower motor and check the fan alignment and bearing - the fan may be hitting the case on each revolution at low speed. When you do, you will probably find a lot of debris in the cavity, especially up against the heater core (be VERY careful if there is some and you try to remove it).

I have a problem with a thm700r4 transmission. i
Check that the OD solenoid on the torque converter is good still. When the R4 wont go into OD you have no more gears than 1st an 2nd. If the OD clutch drum was relaced if it was burnt, that will make a problem also. You have to have OD in order for these babies to work right.
