Tcm location on 97 geo metro

on a 1997 Geo Metro LSI 4cly Auto. I read somewhere that it's located under the dash on the drivers side.If a late model it may be incorporated into the ECM and they then call it the PCM.

Where is the crank position sensor located on a 1995 Geo Metro 1.3 liter 4 cylinder engine

I believe you will have a crank sensor behind the main crankshaft pulley on the oil pan flange. There is also a crank angle sensor in the bottom of the distributor.

I have a 1991 Geo Tracker with an auto transmission. It is slow to shift into reverse. How can I adjust the bands?

Question edited for clarity. Try changing the auto transmission fluid, or at least topping it up. The demands of plowing snow are pretty ******* transmissions. Fully changing the fluid comes with its own problems. The best way is to drain the fluid, carefully measure and replace it with the same amount plus a couple of measured tablespoons extra. https://www.google.com/search?q=1991+Geo+Tracker+auto+transmission+fluid+change Recommended fluids and Oils https://www.google.com/search?q=1991+geo+tracker+auto+transmission+fluid+recommended ..

1995 Geo Tracker crank will not turned. Removed distributor, valve cover, timing belt, spark plugs. Cam will turn but crank will not, placed in neutral still will not turn. Any suggestions please?

What you are saying is impossible as doesn't make sense. The starter motor turns the flywheel and the crankshaft. That is connected to the timing belt, and the timing belt turns the Camshaft. It is impossible for the Cam to turn and not the crank because of the way it works. Get it towed to a garage and have it fixed by someone that understands the way engines work.

Greetings, I have an 1995 Geo Metro that has been out of gas for 2 weeks. When I went to start it, I put $10.00 worth of gas in it and it didn't start. It is possible that the fuel pump was damaged?

Yes, the fuel pump is immersed in Gasoline which lubricates and cools the pump as it runs. As little as 5 minutes can wear out the pump seals so it doesn't create enough pressure. You can test the flow and the pressure and you will need to bleed the air out of the lines.

Does a 1995 geo metro have a crank sensor?

Yes, the 1995 Geo Metro is equipped with a crankshaft position sensor. If you're in need of a replacement, you can find the Crankshaft Position Sensor product for your vehicle at Advance Auto Parts. They offer a variety of options, and the prices start from as little as $85.31. The sensor is located on the backside of the engine under the intake manifold, approximately in the center of the block. To replace it, unplug the sensor, remove the 10mm bolt, and gently spin it back and forth while pulling it out. Autozone may offer alternatives.

1990 Geo/Chevrolet Tracker 2.0. No power after stop.

Question edited for clarity, change year from 19990, add maker. Question moved to model category. The 'Let's try changing this' method of car repair is seldom successful and it always expensive. An auto electrician with a $5,000 scan tool computer can diagnose the issue in 30 minutes. It will be OBD1, but still better than guessing. https://www.google.ca/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me ..

1997 Geo tracker, stuck in park and will not start manual release it to neutral with switch. But still will not start.

There is a little cover on the left side of the shifter console. Remove the one screw and if you reach inside you'll find a short lever that you move (i think towards the rear) one way or the other and that will manually release the shifter if your key is on and the brake is depressed.

1995 Geo Tracker 16 SOHC. Ignition problem, no fire to the plugs?

When you tested the spark plugs, did you ground the tip of the plug against a grounds bolt on the engine? Many times I have seen someone hold a plug in the air looking for the spark. Did you use a scan tool to check which cylinders weren't firing? Swap the spark plug caps from a cylinder known to work, to one that doesn't. See if the misfire moves with it. https://www.google.com/search?q=mobile+auto+electrician+near+me ..

Why would 95 geo prizm 1.6 be hard to start then once it's started it idled fine but any load and cuts out,did the paper clip test and came back #24

95 geo prizm (rare ) is a GM re-badged, Toyota Corolla. Gen 6 to 8 so the engine is pure TOYOTA. super good to know this and to diagnose and buy parts vastly more easy. The engine is (or 1.6 4A) 7AFE, 1.8L DOHC EFI, gen 7 toyota design 1995 not told when did car run and drive fact perfectly never seen it, did last week/month/decade/???????? history matters huge, for sure bad fuel ran. getting fuel means near zero. on all EFI cars fuel pressure matters, not dribble tests. we use a fuel pressure gauge to measure that. one common failure this old is bad FPR, most this old are bad. make sure EGR main is not stuck open, seems to me not as it does idle well. so is fueling bad. buy fuel pressure gauge, or by FPR as guess. fuel filter must be good, not 90%^ paCKED UP. causes of low power. right foot low fuel pressure, bad FPR , fuel filter , pump bad MAP sensor ,bad or more likely its vacuum port dead. clogged gunk in map vacuum clogged. up. the fuel filter is outside the fuel tank on frame rail ,etc. they sell it https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/geo,1995,prizm,1.8l+l4,1142019,fuel+&+air,fuel+filter,6200 FPR https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/geo,1995,prizm,1.8l+l4,1142019,fuel+&+air,fuel+injection+pressure+regulator,6124 some GEOs; the gas cap fails and tank goes to huge vacuum, or a wrong cap. so start engine and run it with no gas cap at , the most easy test ever no? no fast turns, okay, go easy. or buy a new one, it has built in vacuum breaker inside it that MUST work. PSI is your friend, FUEL pressure, i read the Corolla book for you,. key on 3 times gauge connected and see. 38-44 psi is spec, not running, if you start the engine the FPR will drop pressure about 6 psi. (so say 40 drops to 34psi at idle) if vacuum hose pulled off any FPR show leaking fuel the FPR is 100 % for sure bad. but pressure testing is what matters ! code 24 ABS code or ECU coded? OBD1 (toy) ECU 24 is , IAT sensor wire conn, fell off. intake pipe. Intake Air Temperature Sensor signal.(says Toy) IAT bad never causes your symptoms. this car has no sensors for fuel pressure so only hand tools find the truth back then. a fuel pressure gauge must be owned, or rented

98 Geo metrohard to shift into any gear

I assume it is a standard shift transmission? I would see if there is any adjustment on the clutch cable. If the cable is already as tight as it can be adjusted, it's probably time for a new clutch.

We're is the crank sensor on a 1999 geo tracker with a 1.6 litter in it

all 1996 (OBD2 first one) G16B engines. USA only, no VIN told or country or if outside USA nothing I say now is true (FACTS) !!!! outside. except last line. have a crank sensor CKP at the front if engine behind crank pulled and bolt to lower pan front edge and has tone wheel cog, behinds front crank pulley the scan tool in fact tells you and time CKP fails. no country told so why invite lies told to you. I have the full factory manuals in this car for all countries. many did not go OBD2 until 2007 or later. OBD2 is usa 1996 invention and under dash our cars, is the 16pin oBD2 port. on all and newer. other countries used OBD1 PCM then,. so there is no CKP. THERE: ever. parting shot last line: stop reading posts world wide not about your country or go mad looking for things that do not exist . the OBD2 law , mandated the new CKP to do OBD2 misfire detection. that is its job . eg: P0300, as one example no OBD1 CAN DO.
