2010 ford focus P0760 shift solenoid C. I test drove this car and it did not have any shifting issues nor check engine light or wrench light on. I ended up buying it a month later and drove it home 30 miles with no shifting issues. Got it home and it sat for 3 months while I pulled the dash out to chsnge the ac evaporator. Got it all back together with ac fixed then the shifting issue started. Thought maybe it was a ground I didn't tighten good somewhere so cleaned and dielectric greased every ground. Here is what it does: shifting into forward or reverse is kind of semi harsh with no lag, 1st gear is fine, shifts to 2nd semi harsh with no lag, 2nd fine, shifts into 3rd semi harsh but no lag, 3rd fine, shifts into 4th for about 5 seconds then bangs hard back down into 3rd. I can accelerate some a d make it shift back into 4th, then few seconds later it bangs hard back into 3rd. After doing this 2-3 times the check engine light comes on and the wrench light and the computer locks out 4th gear and will not try shifting back into 4th. I can drive like this all day in 3rd. Slow down and stop and its normal 1 2 3 with no 4th. Clear the code and the same scenario happens over again. I changed all the shift solenoids out A B C D E and EPC. New fluid and filter. Same exact issue, no change. All the old and new solenoids ohm out fine with a multimeter. The wiring from the computer to transmission tests good. The wiring inside transmission tests good along with the new solenoids still ohm out good. I'm left with either the spool valve that solenoid c controls is gummed up and sticking or the computer is bad.

Corrupt adaptive shift memory. Try clear and relearn.

I have a 2000 Ford Focus 2.0 spi idles rough and loud and throws code po300. I have swapped coil pack, spark plugs, and plug wires but still no change. How can I find the problem and fix it?

Misfires aren't just caused by spark plug issues. You could have a problem with one or more sensors on the engine, a fuel supply issue, A vacuum leak, a PCV valve problem or a more serious issue with the actual parts inside the cylinders themselves. Did it throw any other codes? Does it do anything else wrong? (like stalling or very smoky exhaust gas). Unless your familiar with working on engines I would recommend getting a good mechanic to look at this. They'll be able to look and listen to the engine for more clues to what the problem is.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus and my left headlight went out. I replaced both headlights and now my high beam indicator is on when it is low beams and are very dim. I have tried several different bulbs and the problem persists. High beams work fine. They are 9003 bulbs

You are most likely to have earthing or resistance issues. Funnily enough, I just watched this video last night. You will see the dim headlight scenario mentioned towards the end on a vehicle, but you need to know the testing procedure first. You will also need a digital multimeter. Or, you can just take it to an auto-electrician. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaYtCVBodpw ..

2003. Transmission torque converter clutch circuit performance or stuck off?

I assume you think the transmission will not go into overdrive. Either the torque converter clutch solenoid has failed, is stuck or is not receiving the signal to activate from the control computer (may be a wiring problem). You can check with a good code reader if there is an error code, and if a signal is being sent to the transmission by using the code reader in live view, but troubleshooting the solenoid should be left to a transmission repair shop as the oil pan must be dropped to get at it.

Replace the mas air flow sensor. There's a resistor it must have blown already that's why it's not calculating the right amount of air. Also check to confirm if the air cleaner housing is ohk.

2005 Ford Focus wouldn't start, I turn the key all the way radio works, all dash lights,No starter click or anything. Fuel pumps kicks on, replaced neutral safety switch and starter still nothing...

You have to check all fuses and relays first before you start replacing things chasing the problem and spending $$$$$$$for the wrong reason was this the same issue before you changed the neutral safety switch yes/no? That switch has to be adjusted on most cars before it will start anyway go to your battery cables check for looseness that they are clean of sulfer/battery acid /corrosion around the terminals and post and that you can not turn them by twisting now go to the power distribution box and do the same thing under the hood there's a relay there that should click when you turn the key after the cleaning check that and make sure the cable connections to the box the stud and the cables lugs are clean and shiny also the ground to the engine and those starter cables I understand everything works but that's possible because a limited amount of voltage is needed for this components to operate also this could've happened if corrosion was present you could've lost power momentarily which would sound the alarm or the horn it would've put the car into theft mode if the remote keyfob was not used to stop it you have a pats system (secure a lock) from ford with a chip key any break in power will cause your vehicle to go into theft mode and you might not have known that it happened this will give you a totally dead key no click at all as well as the neutral safety switch same thing if not adjusted properly if that applies to your car you need to have someone turn the key to start while you are moving the switch to adjust it then it will crank, and remember that obviously I'm not there so I need you to be as precise as possible in your post of (a) symptoms before you changed any parts (b) all the things you did upto now and write it all down so you don't forget to include it in the next post we will get there good luck stephen
