I'm sorry, a 1994 does not have a limp mode. If you have exploded the sprag and the transmission is full of debris, it's time for a rebuild or replacement.

Your vehicle is full of 'front seals'.
Wheel bearing seals.
Brake caliper seals.
Front transmission seal.
Plus a load of engine seals.
At minimum, a full socket set, a full set of open ended and ring, wrenches and a seal pick. Probably circlip pliers.

Catastrophic failure of something. You need a mobile auto electrician armed with a $5,000 scan tool computer to diagnose the check engine light Diagnostic Trouble Codes and they will tell you what failed and how to fix. It might just be a sensor, but an important one.

One possible cause is a faulty wiring harness in the shifter that wears out and causes a short circuit1. This can be checked by inspecting the wires under the steering column and looking for any signs of damage or corrosion. If this is the case, you may need to replace the wiring harness or repair the wires.
Another possible cause is a bad solenoid switch inside the transmission1. This is a more serious problem that requires opening the transmission and replacing the solenoid. This can be a costly and complicated repair, so you may want to consult a professional mechanic before attempting it.
A third possible cause is a low or weak battery2. Sometimes, the electrical system can act up when the battery is not providing enough power. This can be tested by checking the battery voltage with a multimeter or a battery tester. If the battery is low, you may need to recharge it or replace it with a new one.
A fourth possible cause is a glitch in the electronic system34. Sometimes, the tow/haul mode can get stuck due to a software error or a sensor malfunction. This can be fixed by resetting the system by disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting for an hour, then reconnecting it. This should clear any codes and restore the normal function of the tow/haul mode

Better to test it than just replace. $30 on Amazon, $90 at Autozone.
https://www.google.com/search?q=2001+ford+f150+code+p1451The P1451 code indicates that there's an issue with your vehicle's EVAP systems vent solenoid. The engine control module (ECM) looks for a change in the EVAP system pressures to validate that the EVAP vent solenoid has actually opened or closed the vent.

Put a battery charger on it for at least 8 hours on 6 amp charge. Make sure the battery ground has a good contact using a digital multimeter. After 8 hours, start the car and run it.
Next day, try and start again. If the battery is flat, you have parasitic draw.

One further thought, does this old vehicle have a security system and engine immobilizer? Do you have a steady or flashing red light anywhere. You may be locked out of starting the engine because you disconnected the battery. In fact Goggle says it does have anti-theft.
If the injectors are stuck open, the control to them is faulty.
Probably a bad earth wire on the ECU for the engine management.
Unplug the injectors to check they hold pressure. If they, do look for the cause. If they don't, don't waste your money, rebuild the engine.

F-150 crack right here :>D
..
Mileage over 150k? if so time to pull it fo a rebuild or examine the plugs an color and get back to me with a bit more info. The question is general that it could be that little inline fuel filter.
Details please
Anti-theft is known to be an issue. The only way to correctly diagnose is to call a mobile auto-electrician. His pro grade scan tool computer can diagnose and record faults as they happen, plus show all the historical data that may be saved. The attached video may also help.
