97 Ford Explorer - No power windows.
check the fuses /relays then power feed to door and into switch cluster---sunroof off different feed ---damage wiring possible in harness feed between door hinge area --at cluster or failed door panel cluster but will need a multi-meter or at least a test light
I have a 1999 Ford
Have you checked under the hood in the engine compartment? I do believe there is a fuse box there with fuse for the brake/reverse.

Can't get power to foglights on my 2003 Explorer
Likely there is a relay that operates the lights. I believe it is a relay that operates when the on/off switch grounds the relay, kind of like the horn relay. The relay may have lost a connection -- power in wire or ground wire to the on/off switch. Or the power wire into the relay or out to the lights may have become disconnected.
Try turning the lights on and off several times in a quiet location and listen for an electrical relay clicking. The under hood fuse/relay block may contain this relay. You'll have to trace wires from there until you find the lost connection, or bench test the relay with a battery and ohmmeter. Check fuses too. All fuses and relays will be identified in the owners manual or under the fuse block cover. G'luck.

I need to reassemble the transmission of a ford
ATSG (Automatic Transmission Service Group ) makes the best manuals IMO.
The typical manual is 80 to 120 pages long and in addition to detailed tear down and assembly instructions will include valuable information such as road test procedures, diagnostic information, oil pressure and range reference charts, wiring and hydraulic diagrams, checkball and thrust washer locations, torque and end play specifications, electronic controls and operations, special tools and updates.
Just an exploded view is not a good idea, as it will not contain what you need to determine serviceability of the hard parts and lack of clearance specifications for the end thrust, bearing races, clutch pack clearances, runout's and many other critical specifications... not to mention the updates and fixes. Might want to think about that.

I have a 1996 ford explorer, the person who had it
Look for inst. lites fuse and clean the connectors at the fuse panel. The stereo speakers might have come loose from a poor wiring job. Look under the dash below the radio. Sometimes the dash light switch gets worn and doesn't work until you mess with it a little.

My 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 ohv manual trans starts then immediately dies.relays-good fuel pressure-good fuses-good new fuel pump idle air control valve new egr help!
THAT HAS A HUGE LIST OF CAUSES BUT BREAKS DOWN TO
THE
BIG 3. (we find it with tools) otto cycle Gasoline/petrol
- bad engine (compression good?)
- bad spark ( try new cap,rotor , wires and plugs?or 6x coil pack./
- bad fueling or bad fuel. , fuel pressure at spec?
top cause is no tune ups done in 24 years,
all spark parts are bad. (no engine told)
all fuses good/?
test #1 is can you keep it running with a fast right foot actions.
i dies and repeats, or dies and needs to sit for hours to repeat this start fail act./
there were 3 engines then/
4.0 OHV v6
4.0 SOHC v6
5.0 v8 (uses twin quad lug coil packs) and hv wire sets. spark
no engine told so no why to get specific at all just ASE basics basics above.
try a tune up, at least, HV wire sets and new spark plugs gapped right.
and scan scan the PCM see if P03xx errors are stored there.
key on.

Alternator fuse 1996 Ford explorer
no engine told at all and they are not all the same sorry NOT.
4.0L or 5.0:? USA answers me only. and cars.
well there are 2 or 3.fuses, huge and some small.
one is huge,
50amps to 100amp or more.
step one in the manual states
remove battery lug first step1. oops skipped?
if not the huge fuse is now blown.
if you did that act, learn to follow that huge wire on the huge stud of he alternator, it goes to the main fuse box and to a huge fuse
or is A FUSEABLE link blown up]
now specific answer from the SM.
fuse 17 small blown 15amp
fuse 15 small 7.5amp,
my guess is never seen a fusealble link?
they are not snap in fuses at all
Ford gray coded is 12gauge rated. no idea me why there are 2.
alternators 130 amps to 200,so my guess is 2 are there to DO THAT.,
if the alternator shorts, as they do sometimes you do not want a harness fire for sure next to fuel lines. boom
avoid the dark side fix it right up upgrade to real fuse/extra box.

Airbag light flashes 4 times and then 4 more
RH primary crash sensor not mounted to vehicle properly or ground circuit open.
The sensor will be on the front side of radiator support you will see 2 there. The one on the passenger side is the one you are concerned about. Either connector is loose or it is not grounded good thru the radiator support and the bolt that holds it.Or one of the wires have an open circuit.
Once you have it repaired then the code will have to be cleared with a scan tool or you have to have 255 keys cycles without the fault present.

Air conditioning blowing hot air
ok could be one of 3 things. 1 you may be out of freon. (proly spelt that wrong) 2. compresser could be bad. 3 the clutch on your compresser might not be engaging. when trucks running turn ac on and see if the front of your compresser spins or not. if it does clutch is good. but it could be that your compresser is still bad. either way i recomend you go for freon and start there. when they fill it they will tell you for sure wether or not your compresser is bad.
