I have a 3.9l 89 dodge dakota sport. When your driving you can only use quarter throttle and have to nurse it to 65. When you floor it it has nothing. its flooding itself out and cant figure it out

With drivability symptoms like that, I'm assuming there has to be a "check engine" or "service engine" light, lit up on the dash?Getting it scanned for codes is a good step in the right direction to narrow down the cause of the problem. If there are any codes stored.

2007 Dodge Ram 1500. I have no rear turn signals or brake light. Reverse lights up, trailer wiring works, front works.

Is the trailer wiring new or was it already fitted and the problem has just started happening? Does this problem happen all the time or only when the trailer wires are plugged in? This may sound silly but does the weather affect the problem? For example does it happen after it has been raining and stops when the weather dry up? Have you tested the wiring with a voltmeter/multimeter for actual live voltage? Using the multimeter on DC volts start at the actual light fitting and work your way backwards. Remove the bulb and test for voltage in the hole the bulb fits into. Next test behind the bulb where the wiring connects to the light fitting. This tests the light fitting itself. Follow the wires back and find where the trailer wiring connects into the wiring harness then check for voltage before and after the connection. This tests for issues between that connection and the trucks rear lights. As you follow the wire look and feel for damage as a small cut or break in the wire can cause big issues. Check any Ground (earthed) points aren't loose or corroded. If there is still no voltage the next place is the fuse box. A lot ot tail light issues are often in the wiring somewhere near the actual light fittings.

2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 L V8 starts and runs fine. After a while, it stalls and dies. It will turn over but not start until after sitting for a while. It's getting worse.

Check for fuel pressure at the rail. Looking at those fuel trims it is trying to get more fuel into the engine but it looks like there isn't anything more for it to give.

My 2000, dodge durango, will turn over but will not start. I do not think i am getting spark . Please help

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with your ignition system. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:
  1. Check the spark plugs: Inspect the spark plugs for signs of wear or damage. If they appear worn or fouled, consider replacing them.
  2. Test the ignition coil: Use a spark tester to check if the ignition coil is producing spark. If there is no spark, the ignition coil may need to be replaced.
  3. Inspect the ignition wires: Check the ignition wires for any signs of damage or corrosion. Replace any wires that appear damaged.
  4. Check the distributor cap and rotor: If your vehicle is equipped with a distributor, inspect the distributor cap and rotor for signs of wear or damage. Replace them if necessary.
  5. Verify fuel delivery: Ensure that your vehicle is receiving fuel by checking the fuel pump and fuel injectors. If fuel delivery is not the issue, focus on diagnosing the ignition system.
If you're unable to identify the problem, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic for further assistance. They will have the tools and expertise to diagnose and repair the issue effectively.

Is there a cabin air filter on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.2 thanks in advance.

The 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 does not come equipped with a factory-installed cabin air filter. As a result, there is no need to locate or replace a cabin air filter in this vehicle model. Keep in mind that newer vehicle models may be equipped with cabin air filters, but for the 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2, it is not a standard feature.

2003 Dodge neon check engine light blinking 10 times what is the code for it

When the check engine light in your 2003 Dodge Neon blinks 10 times, it's indicating a specific issue. Let's explore some possibilities: Engine Misfire: A flashing check engine light often points to an engine misfire. This can lead to rough idling, reduced power, and poor fuel efficiency. You might want to check the ignition system, spark plugs, and fuel injectors. Fuel System: Inspect the fuel system for any issues. Ensure proper fuel pressure, clean fuel injectors, and no clogs in the fuel lines. Catalytic Converter Problem: A malfunctioning catalytic converter could trigger this warning. It's essential for emissions control. Oxygen Sensor: A faulty oxygen sensor can affect fuel mixture and emissions. Replacing it might be necessary. EGR Valve: A dirty or faulty EGR valve can impact engine performance. Cleaning or replacing it could resolve the issue. To pinpoint the exact problem, I recommend using an OBD-II scanner to retrieve the trouble code. Once you have the code, you'll be better equipped to address the issue. If you're unsure, consider visiting an auto parts store or a mechanic for a diagnostic scan

2000 Dodge 3500 Cummins 4x4 with 5 speed manual. It just quit pulling like the transfer case is in neutral, the clutch feels fine, but you can put it in any gear and nothing. What can I check?

The problem may be caused by the central axle disconnect actuator (CAD). If you have or can get a handheld vacuum pump, you can test the function of the CAD. Here's how: 1.) Raise the right-side front wheel off of the ground. 2.) Pull the right hose from actuator and, apply vacuum to the actuator's right side. 3.) First make sure 4WD isn't engaged, and turn the front drive shaft by hand. A.) If the right wheel turns when the driveshaft is turned, the actuator is GOOD. B.) If the right wheel DOESN'T turn, the actuator isn't engaging the clutch in the axle. If A): Turn on the ignition. The 4wd light should be on. If B): (and the 4WD light is ON), remove the actuator and check the central axle disconnect.

If your radiator is leaking on your truck and the hose is not leaking the cap is under pressure but the heater is not

you will need to replace radiator and hoses and thermostat. you will need to flush system including heater core. You probably plugged the heater core with pepper ( which does not work as a sealant). Leave pepper in the kitchen.

Timing belt replace on a 98 dodge neon 2.0 DOHC engine?

Without knowing any additional information, it sounds as if the timing is off. If the engine didn't run rough before changing the timing belt, the installation is the cause. Check out the photos below, which show the timing marks for the crankshaft timing and the camshaft. Make sure all marks meet as shown in the photos. Also, make sure the belt tension is adequate, because if the tension is not up to spec, that could be causing the problem or a separate issue will eventually come up, if the belt slips. It's always best to change the tension and the idler pulley, when doing a timing belt change. cam timing-undefined-undefined-0.gif crank timing-undefined-undefined-1.gif

2008 Dodge Caliber, brake lights don't work, only the 5 little lights on the hatch come on. I've had the brake switch replaced up under the wheel, i changed the fuse and I also replaced the bulbs.

If the brake light switch checked out ok, and there are no brake lights illuminating at all, inspect the wiring harness going from the brake switch to the bulbs themselves. There could be an issue with frayed wiring, wiring that has lost its ground, or a short/open situation.
