1999 Silverado 1500 Headlights will not turn off

Turn the headlight switch to the off position (not auto) and depress the overhead light button, located just below the cargo light switch, several times ( 3-5 times) until you hear a bell then the headlight switch actually works as indications show around the knob.

2015 4.3l. Why do electric fans run continuously?

Sounds like the switch for the fan is broken. Check thermostat, it might be stuck in the open position which tells your fan to stay on.

1994 Chevy Silverado 1500 cigarette lighter fuse. Where it is located.

Are you sure your Silverado is a 1994? The first model was a 1999 year. The fuse for the cigarette lighter is in the engine compartment. A black box near the battery. I've attached an image to show the 2 most likely fuses you will need to check. 4047d4d5-caed-4472-a246-e628ecb8d99c

  • Hi, I can help.
  • The service Engine Light Soon light means it's time for an oil change,

  • You can turn this light off real quick by following these steps.
  1. Turn the key to ACC.
  2. Press the gas pedal down all the was three times in fairly rapid succession.
  3. The service engine soon light will begin to blink and then disappear.
  4. Turn the key to off.
  5. now start your truck.
  6. The light will now be off.
  • This should be done after every oil change.
  • All the light means is that the PCM has indicated that you have driven the required miles for an oil change. A reminder light if you will.

2009 Chevy silverado blend door In-op

I have a similar issue in my 2009 Sierra 1/2 ton. I have no heat. The truck does not have A/C. I pulled off the kick plate to see if I could see the blend door actuator but it is not there. It must be the one I saw on you tube..below the airbag. Not too confident about pulling the airbag. It might be the heater core as I get good airflow in all locations. Suggestions appreciated. :-)

Code p025a fuel pump module tested relay it is good why is there power on # 85 with key off

DTC P025A: Fuel Pump Flow Control Module Enable Circuit The engine control module (ECM) supplies voltage to the fuel pump flow control module (FPCM) when the ECM detects that the ignition is on. The voltage from the ECM to the FPCM remains active for 2 seconds, unless the engine is in crank or run. While this voltage is being received, the FPCM closes the ground switch of the fuel pump and also supplies a varying voltage to the fuel tank pump module in order to maintain the desired fuel rail pressure. Circuit/System Testing
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the FPCM.
  2. Ignition OFF, install a test lamp between the control circuit terminal 13 and ground.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates for 2 seconds.
  4. ?‡' If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.

  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the FPCM.
Relay for what ? Which engine do you have LY6 or non LY6

Where is the air bag control module on a 2012 silverado

It is located under the drivers seat, bolted to the floor, be very careful of the thick yellow wire. thats the signal wire to set off the air bag. Also be sure to disconnect the trucks battery when messing around with electronics, and make sure you touch your truck as in ground your self before you install the new computer as static from your body can fry a new computer
