There are two screws on either side of the armrest. Remove with Allen wrench or Phillips head. Be sure the armrest is closed position. After removing screws lift straight up to remove the armrest. Save the screws.

It's when the security light starts flashing that the infamous "chip" in the key becomes a nightmare to many. Gradually the car begins not cranking anymore or if it cranks it would start and die in a second. Randomly it will do this more and more often until it won't start anymore. VATS, PASSkey and Passlock immobilizer systems are killing cars all over North America, they have a short lifespan and are certainly more effective against owners than thieves. Here is how you save your car
1st trick, Try a spare key that is newer or used less. The pins wear down and so do the keys causing security fail. 2nd trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shutting down while running, im sorry i have no quick fix... Cheap fix: Bypass the chip in your key. Temporary, but effective. Until the TDM (theft deterrent module) in the dash poops out, then you're kinda screwed. I was told that these types of key security systems have a 7-10 year life span. Sucks for us. This link explains the "Key Issue" pretty well.

Never worry again fix: Bypass the whole VATS/Passlock/passkey I or passkey II system entirely. Literally take it out, and throw it away. I just did this in my Regal. Took about an hour. Took longer to find the thing than it did to fix the problem. They sell a unit for 200 bucks to totally bypass this system FOREVER. life time-money back and all that. Finally did this in my car. Well worth the 200 if you've looked into getting this replaced... Anywhere from 600-1000 bucks. If you do buy this, please purchase it thru this link. It works for:
Any GM or Isuzu Vehicle with VATS or PASSKey or PASSLock security systems.
If your car has the chip in the key or in the lock cylinder, then you can save it with this Full Bypass.

Blower Motor Removal & Installation W/O Air Conditioning Blower Motor (W/O Air Conditioning)

To Remove:

1. Remove the PCM.
2. Remove the coolant reservoir.
3. Remove the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
4. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
6. Remove the blower motor mounting bolts.
7. Remove the blower motor insulating cover.
8. Remove the blower motor.

To Install:

1. Install the blower motor.
2. Install the blower motor mounting bolts.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
4. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
5. Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
6. Install the coolant reservoir.
7. Install the PCM.

W/ Air Conditioning Blower Motor (W/ Air Conditioning)

To Remove:

1. Remove the PCM.
2. Remove the coolant reservoir.
3. Remove the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
5. Move the PCM connectors out of the way.
6. Remove the blower motor access cover screws. CAUTION
   Do not cut any deeper than necessary in order to remove the access cover.
   
7. Cut through the access cover on the cut line using a sharp utility knife.
8. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.
9. Remove the blower motor mounting bolts.
10. Remove the blower motor.

To Install:

1. Install the blower motor.
2. Install the blower motor mounting bolts.
3. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
4. Install the blower motor access cover.
5. Install the blower motor access cover retaining screws.
6. Using black weather-strip adhesive, seal the cut line.
7. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
8. Reposition the PCM connectors.
9. Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
10. Install the coolant reservoir.
11. Install the PCM.

Get a wiring diagram of the part of the vehicles system your havingproblems with and properly diagnose & repair

If the brake lights stay on all the time without touching the pedal the first thing I would check is the stoplamp (brake) switch on the brake pedal

We can't GUESS your vehicle! Until they are tight. Torque on oil lines is not critical. or Google year make model torque specs but it is unlikely to be listed.

Piston 1 TDC is where the electrical timing should start.

try the12volt.com, it's a car stereo site, they have wiring diagrams. Did the new stereo come with wiring diagrams?

You might have to replace the speedometer cable

I am having the same problem. If I remove the fuse for the transfer case I can hear the actuator engage and disengage. When I turn the switch on the dash all it does is blink and I don't hear it engaging. Could it be the switch

in order for the engine to pop back in the intake it has to be firing when an intake valve is open.The best place to start would probably be the distributor cap replacement.the toughest part of this job is the smal torx bit screws on the cap and not breaking the distributor. the screws were threadlocked ,and the distributor is made of plastic.be careful not to over tighten.

Crawl thru the front to the rear of the truck, Remove the two screws on the gate release handle (they are underneath the handle, two philips).
Gently pull on the plastic panel by the release handle, it will come out about 4 inches, it should be enough if you have a small arm (which I have.) I wedged a plastic 20oz bottle between the rear gate and the inner plastic panel, to keep the plastic held out, don't over stress the plastic it will break if its old enough, look down from the window hatch about 5 inches or so and notice the 2" x 3" opening, there is a lever in there that is moved by the actuator, and a piece of plastic (which is what my friends truck needs, if someone has a part number or aftermarket please advise) but if you reach in to that access panel, there is a slide that moves from right (looking at the gate from the inside) to left, moving it to the left (Opens the window)
Apon opening the window, remove the plastic bottle, and open the rear gate hatch, when the hatch is open there are two screws one on the left side of the gate, and on the right side.I hope this helps you out, remember: don't overstress the plastic, strip out the screws, or break the window..
Once you have everything out, you can replace the actuator or fix the wire leads that may have come loose form the rear door actuator keep you from opening the rear window.

I have most all of the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. Can you narrow down what you need as there are many? If you need me to send them to you then send me your email address.

Check that the Idle air controller is not faulty, disconnect it and start the truck again, if the truck starts (running poorly) then replace the IAC.

If your 1995 Chevrolet Blazer shows code P19DA, it means that there is a signal problem between the fuel pump and the PCM. This may have happened because you have a burned fuel pump motor, or the float meter of the fuel pump has a burnt wire. Check the fuel pump relay, if malfunctioning, inspect the ground circuit to and see if the resistance is accurate. If it appears to be damaged, remove the fuel tank, taking out the pump, and replacing it with one that works.

the best way to do this is to disconnect the fuel line from the top of the manifold, run a hose from the line to a gas canister, and turn on the key-the tank's fuel pump will empty the tank. best to have an assistant to operate the key while you monitor the filling procedure.
