Buick Park Avenue - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
Where is the fuse box at on a 1997 buick park
Hi,
The fuse box is located on the inside of the car passenger side. You have to open the door and it is behind the panel on the side of the dashboard. Look under the motor and it will be under the black square box cover.
Thank you !!
How to change a serpentine belt
This SHOULD be how it's done, but not so on the 90's Park Aves.
With this 3.8 L V-6, you have to remove the motor mount on the side of the engine--and without the proper tools it's about a $290 job for the dealer.
1991 Buick Park Avenue. Interior/door lights stay on when not running and causes battery to go dead. Where are the switches located? I suspect a door jam type switch is faulty on one or more doors.
to solve this it takes only 2 things, a meter and schematic of the dome lap circuit on any car.
yours is easy new cars this runs off BCM computer magic.
31year old, most switches that old fail. be it 4 doors or dome lamp switches up high. can all fail.
called door jamb switches, bad / if are
each dome lamp is turned off. at the park switch or at the dome.
the cures, I have no users guide, (rare) so answer is generic
1: turn off dome ,via. steering stalk park switch some have dome setting
1b:: the dome lamps them self have a switch, of some kind stated in the mission manual
2: remove all these 1 by one, or first open all 4 doors
and cycle the switch see of dome goes off.
on most cars door closed is switch open
if true we remove the switch and pull the plug and dome goes off
if yes the switch was bad.
1994 Buick Park Ave won't start
The security system will keep it from turning over on that model. You need to try a 30 minute theft learn. Follow these instructions closely. Try to start the car, then leave the key on for 10 min. Turn the key off, 2 or 3 seconds. Turn the key back on, do not try to start the car this time, leave the key on for 10 min. Turn the key off again, turn it back to run, do not try to start it again, leave it for 10 more minutes. Then turn it off, and then try to crank it. If it is a security problem and it is not the ignition damaged it will crank. Good Luck. Mike From Texas.
