2005 Buick Lesabre driver window inoperative

Power Windows Description and Operation Power Windows System Components The following components are used to control the power windows: • Driver Door Module (DDM) • Passenger Front Door Module (PDM) • LH Rear Door Module (LRDM) • RH Rear Door Module (RRDM) • Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA) • RH Front Power Window Switch • LH Rear Power Window Switch • RH Rear Power Window Switch • LH Front Power Window Motor • RH Front Power Window Motor • LH Rear Power Window Motor • RH Rear Power Window Motor • Class 2 serial data circuit • Power door serial data circuit • PWR WDO 30 Amp Circuit Breaker • DRVMDL Fuse (10 amp) Driver Door Switch Assembly and Driver Door Module logic, Driver Door Module internal driver operation • PASS MDL Fuse (10 amp) Front Passenger Door Module logic and internal driver operation • RRDR MDL Fuse (10 amp) Left Rear Door Module and Right Rear Door Module logic and internal driver operation Power Windows Operation The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. Each passenger door window can be operated, either from a switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA), or from a switch mounted locally to its associated door. The driver door window can be operated only from the driver door window switch built into the DDSA. When a window is operated from the DDSA, the DDSA interprets the window switch signal as a specific window switch request and sends the information to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM examines the request and checks to see if it has received any class 2 serial data messages from any of the other vehicle modules (i.e. ignition switch position) prohibiting the movement of the window. If the window being operated is the driver door window, and if no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM then applies voltage and ground to the driver door window motor to move the window glass as requested. If the window being operated is a passenger door window, and no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM sends the request, via the power door serial data circuit, to the appropriate passenger door module. The passenger door module then applies voltage and ground to the passenger door window motor to move the window glass as requested. When a passenger door window is operated from the power window switch mounted locally to its associated door, the passenger door module first checks to see if the DDM has received any prohibitive class 2 serial data messages. If there are no prohibitive messages, the passenger door module powers the associated passenger door window motor. Both front door windows have the express down feature. This allows the front door windows to be fully opened by momentarily pulling the appropriate window switch lever to the second detente and then releasing. Did you hook up a scan tool an check for DTC'S in the driver door module ? DTC B3142, B3147, B3152, or B3157 The switch that failed and generated this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is wired to either the driver door switch assembly (DDSA) or the passenger door module (PDM). The DDSA or the PDM includes the switch state in the message it sends to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM sends the switch message to the rear integration module (RIM), which is the master of all lock operations, as a class 2 message. The RIM checks all conditions and if all conditions are correct, sends its OK to the DDM. When the OK message is received, the DDM sends the required signal to all other door modules via the power door serial data message system.

Car won't start

The camshaft sensor on this engine was located on the passenger side of the engine. You will need to remove the serpentine belt, and you can get to it by removing the inner fender or splash guard and get to it that way. I went down from the top. There are two sensors, one is a CRANKSHAFT sensor and other is a cam sensor. Make sure you know which is which. The crankshaft sensor is at the bottom of the engine, the camshaft is right by the water inlet. It is held in by 1 or 2 bolts. If your car is throwing the code for the camshaft sensor, just a heads up. I replaced the sensor and the sensor detects magnets installed on the camshaft. The engine kept throwing the code and came to find out one of the magnets had come off the end of the cam. I am telling you this just in case you go through the replacement and still end up with the code. the camshaft sensor is not too hard to replace, it's tight but it can be done. unbolt the old and bolt in the new. Make sure you disconnect battery before tackling this project. Hope that help some..

What keeps the car from cranking up the starter good in the battery good and alternator is good on a Buick Lesabre 2000

Try starting it in neutral. It may not be completely in park. Most 2000 lesabre cars have a safety feature, where after you turn the ignition on. You will hear a double beep noise and immediately try to start the engine. If not that, a fuse or starter relay. The relay will be under the hood. If that doesn't work you must have a bad connection from the ignition to the starter.

Ho do you replace the rear transmission mount on a

unbolt mount from transmission while supporting with jack. Jack up slightly. Unbolt old mount from cross member. Replace in reverse order, do final tightening with jack removed. A few vehicles require the cross member to be removed from frame to access the lower bolts/nuts.
