No vacuum to the EGR
EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. If there is no vacuum to EGR valve then Verify that all vacuum lines are properly routed, not kinked or twisted. Also check the vacuum lines properly connected to their respective hoses.
The EGR valve is controlled by a solenoid to give two modes of operation:
When the solenoid is off vacuum from the plenum opens the valve. So when intake vacuum reaches a certain level at around 3500 rpm the EGR valve opens and dumps exhaust into the intake for emission purposes. This happens all the time when driving.
The ECU can also turn on the solenoid and provide vacuum to open the valve. The ECU randomly tests the system for operation to make sure the emissions system is working. This is just a test and is not all the time.If this test fails it sets the CEL.
Unfortunately as the cars get older, blow by gas condense and block up the EGR port, which then needs to be cleaned. The EGR mod allows the valve to open when the ECU tests the emissions but not allow the plenum vacuum to open it.
Thus the valve is open less often, this means potentially more power and that the EGR passage will block up less often. However the EGR passage must still be unblocked for it to work.----------Replace the EGR valve solenoid. If cleaning the valve is not helping.
-----------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

2006 Audi A6 station wagon.
Call out a mobile auto electrician. The fob is part of the any-theft and immobilizer system. It needs reprogramming to the ECM and anti theft module. The will also check the battery and boost it and get you up and running.

2009 Audi A6 3.2. Crank but no start OBD2 shows misfire on cylinder 5.
Erasing the codes doesn't fix the problem. You will need to find out what is causing the misfire. What EXACTLY is it doing when you crank it? Does nothing? Just turns really slowly? Turns at regular speed and nothing else? Turns, tries but won't idle? Comment below and I'll see what help I can give you.
I drove to work fine got back in 4 hours later car won't start battery dead. then got a jump came home turn car off now car wont start.
If you just hear a click, try this:
This procedure usually works:
·Check the battery cable connections:
Make sure the positive cable, makes a good connection at the battery and at the starter. Make sure the negative cable makes a good ground connection at the battery and (preferably) at the engine.
·Check the battery the simple way, like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
·Check the starter and solenoid:
If the wiring looks ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter(10 volts minimum while cranking).
If the starter spins and no crank, the problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear is stuck.
Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck bendix gear.
·Make a simple test of the alternator:
If you can, somehow get the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery. It should be at least 13.6 volts to properly charge the battery.
