1994 chevy k1500 ac compressor not getting power when i turn ac on

In a 1994 Chevy K1500, the compressor should receive power when the AC button is turned on, assuming that the system is adequately pressurized and there are no other issues preventing it from engaging. Here are some steps to diagnose the issue:
  1. Check Refrigerant Levels: Low refrigerant levels can prevent the AC compressor from engaging. If your system is low on refrigerant, it may need to be recharged. This is typically a job for a qualified technician.
  2. Check for Refrigerant Leaks: If your system is low on refrigerant, it's essential to check for leaks. A leak can cause the refrigerant to escape and prevent the compressor from engaging. Look for signs of oil or refrigerant leaks around the AC components.
  3. Fuse and Relay Inspection: Ensure that the AC system's fuse and relay are functioning correctly. You can consult your vehicle's owner's manual or a fuse box diagram to locate the relevant fuses and relays. Replace any blown fuses or faulty relays.
  4. Check the Pressure Switch: Many vehicles have a high-pressure and low-pressure switch in the AC system. These switches monitor the pressure in the system and can prevent the compressor from engaging if the pressure is too high or too low. Check these switches for proper operation and continuity.
  5. Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Examine the wiring and connectors leading to the AC compressor. Look for damaged wires, loose connections, or corrosion. Ensure that there is no damage to the wiring harness.
  6. AC Clutch and Compressor: If all the electrical components are working correctly, you may need to inspect the AC clutch and compressor itself. The AC clutch should engage and disengage when the AC is turned on and off. If the clutch isn't engaging, it may be faulty, or there could be an issue with the compressor itself.
  7. Refrigerant Pressure Sensors: Some vehicles are equipped with refrigerant pressure sensors that can prevent the compressor from engaging if the pressure is out of the specified range. Check if your vehicle has such sensors and test them if necessary.
  8. Professional Diagnosis: If you've checked all of the above and cannot identify the issue, or if you're uncomfortable working on AC systems, it's recommended to consult a qualified automotive technician or AC specialist for a thorough diagnosis and repair.
Remember to prioritize safety when working on your vehicle's AC system, as it involves high-pressure refrigerant and electrical components. If you're not experienced in automotive AC repairs, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid injury or damage to your vehicle.

Where is the AC orphan tube located in a 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ V6

However, I can provide some general information about the air conditioning (AC) system in a 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ V6. In most modern vehicles, the AC system consists of several components, including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and various refrigerant lines and hoses. There is no specific component called the "AC orphan tube" in standard automotive terminology. If you're experiencing an issue with your AC system and suspect a problem with a particular tube or hose, I would recommend consulting the owner's manual for your 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ, which may have information on the AC system components and their locations. Additionally, if you're not familiar with automotive repairs, it's advisable to consult a qualified mechanic or technician who can diagnose and address any AC-related problems in your vehicle. They will have the necessary tools and knowledge to locate and repair any issues with your AC system.

2005 chevy 3500 drivers side ac goes to heat yet the passenger side stays on ac No matter how I adjust the temp control it will no push ac until I turn off the truck and restart it.

Your ac system has actuated doors control the temperature. Your right side temp actuator has failed. As you can see n this picture from the factory manual. That is called your hvac box or ip carrier. It's under the passenger side of your dash behind the glove box. Number 4 is the air temperature actuator for the right(passenger side) that's your faulty component. Unfortunately it's on top of the hvac box and the only way to access it seems to be by removing the dash and is a lengthy repair. img_3822-rjkknkrk44i2q0csabkwvodd-d-0.png

My wife's 2008 Chevy Equinox 3.4L claims it is over heating and shuts the AC off until you reset by disconnecting the battery.

It is possible that you have an airlock in the coolant system? That can cause symptoms of overheating and sometimes there isn't sufficient flow or the coolant temperature. The main tip is to turn the heater of full heat and also elevate the front of the vehicle. https://www.fixya.com/cars/r29872074-vehicle_cooling_system_no_heat ..

2006 Infinity m35 - where is AC compressor clutch relay location

USA car answer, all other electrics good.? no engine told and fuse boxes located different. the cab blower must blow air, does it? the dash AC lamp glows too. if not ,relay stays off first is fuses. IDPM under hood fuse 79 must not be blown. ,frankly I check all fuses. why skip any? the relay A/c is in the iDPM (and its fuses) we scan the OBD2 scan port. this AC needs Can_bus network to fully functional or this A/C can go dead./ the Hi/low pressure switch R134 will trip it all off line if too low or too high both, someone overfilled it. oops, off line it goes. The IDPM under hood IS A computer, and does not nothing if can_bus fails. IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room) ahhhhhhhhhhm, i see why you ask this, the IPDM many relays there(LOTS) do NOT REMOVE. NO socket for A/C relay and NO Rn R number assigned but is there the cars users guide is useless for any specific fuse or relay. only the service manual covers all. fuses are first, never relays first then scan the PCM is 2nd. lots to fail here, it is NOT simple. like in 1980 more here https://fuse-box.info/infiniti/infiniti-m35-m45-y50-2006-2010-fuses-and-relays/amp fuse F12 cab JB powers ESC ,compressor control valve. at pin2 above. if the HVAC main controls "ATC" does not send a DEMAND for AC the CLUTCH does not Energized ever. the blower must work JB fuses for ATC must be good, cab box Fuse #6 ,10,11,12 and 19. ignition relay dead ,so be AC/ relay, but engines runs. so not this. if the ATC sees any damper motor dead, it may stop A'/C also most modern cars have s HVAC self test try that? ipdm1-undefined-undefined-0_0.jpg

2002 Chevy Monte Carlo, Motor will not turn over when you try and crank, then after 10 or 15 tries it cranks.

DON'T start swapping wires around. Doing that can cause more problems and some of them can be serious. This could also be an alternator issue. Is that Voltage reading with the engine Off? Once you get the engine started take another volt reading at the battery. You should get a reading of around 14.2 volts. If the voltage doesn't change you might have a problem with the alternator not charging the battery. The AC could be a fuse. Try this website for the fuse box locations and layouts. The radio will read locked if the battery has been disconnected, A security feature to stop it working if the radio is stolen. There should be an unlock code in the vehicle documents and there are also websites where you can get it.
