I would say based on information that the ignition switch is faulty, worn, or broken and would need to be replaced. Just to double check , it should remain in the acc position and not go back, doubt it would be financially or otherwise attempt to do a repair.

Prairie 300 carb problems ... The slide (the piece you see moving up and down) has the needle running .... 2005 Kawasaki PrairieIdle issue.
www.outdoorlife.com/articles/gear/.../honda-fourtrax-kawasaki-prairie-6... Honda decided not only to get into the 500cc-class automatic 4x4 camp, but to do ...by three electronic shifting programs: one for high-speed driving on easy trails; ... this innovation: Kawasaki made the Prairie 650 capable of starting in gear.
Where did you ground the winch motor? You need a separate, heavy duty, switch with a relay to transfer the positive side voltage properly... DO NOT ground to the battery..use a clean, free of paint, place to ground. You may have fried the solenoid..do not connect the positive side to the solenoid. Direct connection to the + battery from the relay is good with a good waterproof fuse in line. Sometimes I have seen the "maint. free" batteries die when used "wrong" and still show 13 volts+.
Has this ATV been sitting for a while? actually sounds like a fuel delivery system issue. make sure you have gas freely flowing to the carb.. then have a professional clean and set the carb. You are actually waiting in the carb to fill with gas during this time... the needle and seat need cleaning or replacing
Could be the coil pack going bad or fuel pump. Find the coil pack and spray water on the outside of it. Not a lot just a stream to keep it cool. It should be on top. Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woE4OIhCvAs
