I have an electric Razor Dirt Quad. It ran perfectly until it rained, now nothing. I replaced the control module and batteries. It turns on but 'low power' light flashes and it does not run what next?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

Get out your multimeter and check the TOTAL voltage. You should have 24 volts or 36 volts depending on model. If you don't, take them all of and charge each one on a car charger set at 2 amps. Clean all the battery connectors with a wire brush and also the connectors. Smear them with Vaseline. Also make sure you have the batteries wired in correctly. If don incorrectly, you may be running on 12 volts!

2004 polaris ranger battery not staying charged when operating but when engine is off battery not affected cutting out and dying what could be the problem?

battery is being drained as it operates and not taking charge

check tightness and clean both terminals and cables

how old is the battery
may have a dead cell ..wont take charge

check the charging input to the battery with a volt meter
has to be above 12 volts
if lower or equal to 12 volts ...no good
the charging stator inside the engine needs testing or repair or replace

stator is another word for an alternator or a generator

why it plays up
best guess the ATV if a 12 volts system wont run on 11 volts

Fuses on honda atv trx 400fw alternator

If after starting and while it is running disconnect the battery...if it still runs then the alternator is working. Also you can connect a volt meter accross the battery and it should read 13-15 volts if working.

ATV dead

Have a load test done on the battery as a good battery should be 13.5 volts. There may be a dead cell that is not taking the load. Under crank load the voltage will drop off and there will not be enough current left to run the ignition system. The sprayer will use considerable less current that a starting engine so that is not an indication of a good battery
