SOURCE: hi I am trying to pull start my 2009 artic cat snopro1000, I put it away running fine. I have spark to the plugs?

Are the plugs wet with gas after you prime the engine and try turning it over a few times? You may not be getting gas to the cylinders if you left gas in the fuel system when you put it away and it has evaporated and left behind gunk that causes the carburetor to stick or the injectors to clog. (I always use Sta-bil or a similar gas storage treatment when putting up a wet engine). Get two bottles of carburetor/injector cleaner. Put one in the gas tank to mix with the gas there. If you have access to the carburetor, pour part of the bottle of cleaner into the carburetor and work the throttle and choke back and forth a few times with the cleaner in place. Gently try moving the choke plate or float to see if they are sticking. Replace the carburetor housing and try cranking the engine several times. Otherwise, you probably need to have a mechanic look at it.

SOURCE: Have an artic cat 400 4x2, not sure of the year. I get it started through the reserve primer then i switch over to regular tank it idles fine for a short bit then it revs high and quits. Any ideas

It is not getting fuel from the reserve tank for some reason. check for a blockage some where , may be a fuel filter.

I have atv artic cat 2006 unlimited edition great shape . however it will just die out loses all electrical, fifteen min later turn the key on and computer is back on and will run just fine.

When I was in the shop, we called things like this 'chasing the ghost' lol.
You'll have to start tracing wires and checking all connectors and contacts and fuses. Test light and voltmeter will be your best assets here as well.

Start at the battery and go from there. I'm unaware of any 'known issues' with the 2006 cats fitting that description but I'm sure it'll be something simple after you spent a large amount of time chasing it...it usually is. Good luck!

Grandson has quad 2006 Artic Cat DUX 90 that has no spark is there a way to check the coil or CDI BOX

coil you can test if you have a coil tester but doubt you do. CDI cant be tested. could also be a pick up coil on the stator, ignition switch, kill switch, tether if it has one.

I have a 2003 artic cat 400 2x4.The cooling fan will no longer come on. What do I check

Hey Mark, make sure you haven't accidentally pulled a wire loose..the temperature sensor wire or the fan wire (s).- rare.. You probably have a temperature sensor going bad and that is what triggers the overtemp switch ("alarm") to start the fan. Could also be the fan switch.

I keep losing spark and my 400 artic cat will not start. I have checked the ignition coil, magnets, and the cdi. What should I check next?

Sometimes when bad parts heat up they fail. I have seen this with the cdi. Be very aggressive when checking your connections. Do you lose spark after it has been run for a while or at certain temps?

Gap settings on Spark Plug for 2007 Artic Cat 400 4x4

From what I understand it is stamped on the left side of the cylinder head, behind a hose.

If this does not help, contact artic cat dealer and speak to a service rep.
Hope this helps!

4 wheel not working on 2005 polaris 400 sportman

I had this problem with Artic Cat 500 and after ensuring the electric shift was working I discovered the mounts for the front drive shaft had broken and would not allow the shaft to engage. I suspect mine was caused by plowing but any number of things could break or bend these.
