Yamaha timberwolf 250

My yamaha timberwolf was running smooth and perfect untill i took her for a run on a long streach of road flat out. she was fine for about 2mins then she started to slow down and not respond to my throttle comands. she then stalled and i tryed to start her again she turned over alot of times and finnaly starts and takes off no bother atall and i can go flat out for about another 2mins but if i don't have her flat out or nearly flat out she runs perfectly. carbs clean new spark plug air filters clean. WHAT COULD IT BE?
Regards magnus

My 1994 Yamaha Timberwolf starts but won't idle properly. Sometimes when it quits it backfires. What could the problem be?

Hi,
The problem is with the fuel mixture. Check for the same. Check the fuel jets . As when you go flat out there is rush of fuel in the carb. resulting in stalling. also check the timming of the engine.

Thanks for using fixya
