How to remove starter on a polaris ace 325 - ATVs

The top bolt is fairly easy to take off.....the positive lead from your voltage regulator(has a red cap on it) that is attached to the the starter is fairly easy to remove. Both are 10 mm socket. The hard part is removing the bottom bolt on the starter.....you can't really see it without removing a few things.....very hard to get at. You can remove the clutch cover and the clutch and everything there and finally remove the back of the clutch cover....but that's a lot of work. I find it easier to remove the air box and air filter.... then you can actually see the hidden bolt on the bottom of the starter with a flash light.... it's still hard to get at....but with a few long ratchet extensions and a a flexible ratchet attachment you can get to it. Once that last bolt is removed....usually a little tap with a hammer will dislodge the starter and it will come out.
