Dies out when you give it gas?

If fresh gas, you should check and replace the air filter (if needed) and remove and replace spark plug(s). Change the oil while you're at it (but this has little to cause the problem you're describing).

Unit stored 4 months, full fuel - stabilizer added, battery tender attached. Now unit starts runs briefly then quits, will not restart, wait for awhile and it will start but same issue occurs, checked fuel...

right before you stored when you added the fuel stabilizer did you have fresh gas and did you run the engine with the fuel stabilizer in for 5 to 10 minutes
