Is it a fat blue spark, Is it good fuel, have you done any recent work that might have cause this problem. If you have a small bottle that you can put a little bit of fuel into. Remove the spark plug put the fuel into the spark plug hole. install the plug back into the hole, make sure not to spill any fuel , if so clean a dry the fuel. Try to start, if it fires and runs for a bit it is a fuel issue. Just because you have fuel to the carb doesn't mean there aren't problems with the carb. There should be a drain screw on the bottom of the float bowl. remove it , is the clean fuel coming out. this is a good place to start.

SOURCE: 1999 400 kodiak 4x4. Will not start. He was jumping off another wheeler and he sparked the positive to ground now it will turn over but not start. Help

i answered your question in another post already but again you probably blew a fuse or killed a spark plug or something to do with a cap, roter or some other part thats after the positive cable sometimes it goes into a block before going to the engine you could have blow that out.

Yamaha 400 kodiak no spark after washing

you have a open wire or a bad connection the electrical current is grounding either your coil or your kill switch to the fram and not allowing it to start

Kodiak wont start

Run a compression test (3-5 seconds) , with throttle closed, then repeat with throttle open. Should be around 100 psi closed and 125+ with it open. This will give you more direction.

2004 yamaha kodiak 400, ran great, now it won't start the next day. kill switch was left on. slid it over, turned it on like i usually do to start it, nothing but a red light (temp ?). it was very cold...

hey Tammy... does the neutral light come on??? if not... find neutral..see what happens.. next.. have your batteries CCA checked.. (Cold Cranking Amps)...the amperage is what makes the starter work..NOT voltage...you can take it to Oreilly's, autozone, batteries and bulbs, or your local battery store...
