2001 Honda four trax stuck in frist gear and cant start. How do get out of gear to start?

The front break usually over rides the starter sensors. Squeeze it and try starting . You can try rocking the machine forward and backward while trying to get it into neutral.

Hi Randy, I believe your best course of action is to take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. Whatever fault there is will show up that way. Regards John

SOURCE: 1996 honda 300 four trax, only starts and runs with choke open, die when you give it throttle or turn choke off, even after a long warm up

sounds like it getting to much air, check rubber hose between carburator and cylinder

I have replaced a clutch on a Honda 350 four trax atv 4wd and now it is blowing oil out of breather tube

How Much oil did you put back in the engine?..did you remove the oil filter..??..did you install it back in correctly(they go in ONE way!!). .the engine oil capacity is 2.1 quarts..NO MORE!!

I just put new clutches in 85 honda 250 four trax y are thay steeel sliping

Sometimes you need to adjust your clutch cable. as the disks wear out you have to tighten it to get it to disengage. if the cable is adjusted too tight then it will slip because it is not taking all the pressure off the disks so they can fully grab. That is where i would start

There is a kick start gear that goes on them often if not kicked properly all the time. ., pull case check for damage ( metal chips flakes broken gears teeth ext ext ) see if that's it ., dose it shift through the gears dose it run if pop started , careful starting it as if it's running and there is damaged kick start gears that could cause a lot more damage...?.

belt drive or chain drive? belt loose, chain shear pin bad ? gears stripped? several reasons here ! hard to say w/o more info sorry!

Hello my 2001 Honda 350 fourtrax has a hard time starting up. I'll have the choke on and it will take from 4-6 tries to start it. I've been noticing this for about a couple of months now. Now the cold...

There is an on line forum for the Honda 350 fourtrax. They discuss this problem at great length and recommend everything from using the choke and primer, replacing the spark plug with a hotter one for cold weather, to adjusting the valves to factory specifications, and rebuilding the carburetor.
