SOURCE: Weak Spark on #1 Cylinder

I'm getting real suspicious of EGR valve fault. For now, pull vacuum line off valve, and see if there is vacuum at idle, plus see if engine straightens out, when line off, idle wise.

is this the one that kick in at a higher rpm to burn more gasses while running at speed? is it not running as it should, are you having an issue other than it doesnt do what you thought it should. No spark in rear cylinder or just on the one plug out of the two? If all is checking out as you said its got to spark.trade the coil thats on one with that other one see if the trouble is the same or moved with the coil to its new location.coil may work but not be good enough to run.

SOURCE: Took my car to have check engine light checked. It

In modern cars so much can go wrong to indicate an issue and a computer in the car can get confused as to what is really occurring. In most cars a misfire indicates either an incorrect firing order, shorted wires, bad plugs, or bad coil. Since you have replaced the wires and plugs we can rule those out. Im also assuming after the second engine code you pulled #2 plug and made sure it wasnt fouled with oil, was gapped correctly, and reinserted. To produce a sufficient spark for combustion the alternator sends power to a "Coil" which is in reality a storage point that then sends an amplified electrical current down the spark plug wire to the cylinder to fire the plug. If the car is truly misfiring you will notice a rough idle, fluctuating RPM's, and lack of acceleration. If you are experiencing any of these I would look at replacing the coil. If you arent experiencing any of these I would have the code cleared again and complete one drive cycle 100 miles and then have codes read again. If you still get a Misfire error some other causes known to occur with Rio's are fuel filter issues, gas caps, and fuel injector issues. Although rare, these can cause issues with the cars fuel delivery and emissions which can confuse the sensor in the ECU. I would try injector cleaner, replace the fuel filter, and gas cap . If funds are an issue then based on symptoms I would start with injector cleaner first $3, Filter $12, Gas cap $12, Coil $48 to $200+

2007 mule 3010 no spark to front spark plug have replaced coil and still the same

The 3000 mule I have worked on has a coil, wire which screws into the coil and spark plug boot.
Do you have power and ground connection at coil.
You said you replaced coil did the wire and spark plug boot get replaced also.
If there is any question about the connection between the coil, wire and boot you might try removing the coil, wire and boot from back cylinder and placing on front. Swap them and see if you loose spark on rear plug after swapping.
Just a thought.

I have a 3010 Kawasaki mule it stooped running and I replaced the fuel pump as it did not seem to work I still cannot get it to run right will run on a idle but nothing more

I work on 3000 and 4000 mules at my job. when it runs bad it can be to coil. Each cylinder, which is 2, can be the coil for that plug. What I do is pull the plug on one cylinder. If it crank then I pull the plug on the other cylinder. if it will not crank I know it is the coil for that cylinder.. It might be the plug, change the plug then change the coil and wire.
I hope you know when I pull the plug on one and it cranks and then I put the plug back on for that cylinder and pull the plug for the other cylinder.

Mule 3010 has no power. in low or high it goes maybe 9 mph, has new pump, spark plugs, checked the vents, nothing is helping

What is the compression? This leads me to think you may have more of an internal issue.

Have the compression checked, with throttle wide open, then repost with the results.

What is the best way to winterize mule stored in a garage

There's a drain screw on the bowl of the carburetor - either run the gas out - or turn the valve to off and drain the gas in the carburetor. I also take the spark plug out and spray on top of the cylinder and all around - anything metal. GETSOME is a product out of Florida that actually works. Disconnect the battery and hook the battery up to a 2amp tender/not charger - you'll need the battery tender that keeps the voltage correct but doesn't over charge - reverse when the seasons change and you should be good to go -

There is no fire to the spark plugs but will turn over what to check

First replace the spark plug with a new one. Then check the wires from the positive terminal on the battery to the coil and then to plugs. Put a 12 volt tester on the positive wires and the battery ground or any metal on the engine to see if circuit is hot. Hope this helps. Make sure you test the plug wire as well.

What makes the DFI light come on but the engine still runs but seems to run slow

More than likely you have either a bad coil or the rocker arm has slipped off. Pull each plug, Check plug. If 1 is fouled, that cylinder is where the problem is. Check for spark on each cylinder, If one has no spark, replace the coil (there are 2). Replace only the bad one. Before replacing the coil, check for compression, if on is real low, pull off the rocker cover and check for valve action.

Kawasaki Mule 1999 Model

Hello Anon..
First, I would check to make sure the carbs are getting fuel, and then fuel getting into the cylinders. Your question about low oil - did you let it get low and then it quit? ...
If you put oil into the cylinders and only got 100psi, this might be your problem. You should be pumping around 120+psi without putting anything into the cylinders... Recheck the compression.= .take out all spark plugs...screw the gauge in until the o-ring seats, hold the throttle wide open while spinning the engine over for about 5 seconds... you should get 120psi +/- 10psi.
If you are getting less than 100psi.. it might be time for a rebuild..
