Why do my front brakes on my 1997 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4X4 keep locking up

They normally will do that if you have lost the liner or pad, when you go to apply the brake becouse of no pad of drum liner brake pads travels to far before it reaches the rotor when it does get there, piston fully extended and it will lock the wheel

WHERE TO FIND THE VIN NUMBER ON A 2008 KAWASAKI PRAIRIE 4X4

Engine case, or a label somewhere on the front frame member. IT MIGHT be just stamped into the steel some where...sometimes they are a pain to find. pressure wash the entire front end, frame, brackets, etc.. really well, then search with a flashlight!

Where is the timing chain tensioner located at to change the top sproket on the timing chain?

on the back side of the cylinder. it sticks out and may have a nut and screw slot or just look like a bolt. It is held in place buy 2 bolts.
