I have a 94 polris trail blazer 250 2 stroke no reeds no valves it does not run i can get it to back fire when i hold hand over carburetor that is all it will do

That is a lot of stuff to change all in one go. One of those items has caused the issue in what was presumably a running ATV? Always best to swap out one item as a time and check everything runs as expected before moving onto the next, checking after each replacement.

The last sentence is confusing even with my edit. I take it you mean it turns over, it catches the odd time, but won't run. In that scenario, and with all the parts you changed, I would check the spark plug gap and that it has a good fat, blue spark. The other thing is the carburetor settings as per the service manual. Engines only need fuel, compression and a spark at the right time.

Check out the piston.pull off the head and look to see if the Reed is stuck on a 2 stroke. If it's a 4 stroke, the timing is off, the lobe could be worn on the cam or burnt valves. Either way pull off the head and look. If it has a lot of build up, soak in parts cleaner, if you have a ultrasonic tank let it stay in there over night or a few days depending on build up.

well if the motor is a 4 stroke then it could be many things, like timming,bent or burnt valve,even a faulty coil.
however if its a two stroke a stuck power valve, or a bent or broken reed valve will result in a back fire.
if its thepower valve you need to clean and lube with the higest tempature syn. grease you can find,Gary

take carburetor apart and do a good deep clean. also check valve clearance.

There are several places you can go on the web that have free atv repair/owners manuals. The owners manuals usually have a wiring schematic on or towards the last page also trouble shooting diagrams with instruction in them.
