Do I need a special screwdriver to adjust the carb on a 2006 Kawasaki bayou 250. not idling right after cleaning.

No. idle is a thumb screw on the side of the carb. (I think, mine was an older model)

Why is our 2005 Bayou 250 rev up when putting into neutral

Have you tried to lower the idle? When an Auto/5speed shiftable transmission is stopped in gear the drivetrain holds it back or loads it down a bit. If you take off a load the idle will rise. Sounds like your idle is too high. Do you have your idle set high to keep it from stalling?

Carb sprays gas toward the air filter on a 2006 kawasaki bayou 250 what would cause this?

timing may have jumped and bent the intake valve causing it to blow back into the carb on the compression stroke.

clean your carb, check for compression.

Adjust idle

!. New spark plug
2. New or CLEAN air filter
3. CLEAN and properly set carb.
4. Air screw should be about 2 turns out AFTER lightly seating.
5. Adjust idle speed to your liking, but not too high.
6. Refinement is made with 1/4 turns of the air screw.

Make sure the needle/seat spring is still there. also make sure your fuel filter is clean enough to keep up to your carb's new thirst

Had a similar problem, I rebuilt the carb and fixed any gaps/cracks in the intake boots and carb-engine gasket. runs ok now
