The screw on the brake caliper front break is leeking Tried to tighten it but it doesnt work. Do I need a new caliper? This is for a 2011 4x4 Polais 500 Ho.

Are we talking front wheels or rear wheels ..or both?? We need more info as to when they locked, what you were doing when they locked...etc.. DO NOT FORCE anything,,, please reply with more info... Rear wheels = Have you tried pulling the brake arm backwards,(after you loosen the brake adjustment).. to relieve any brake shoe tension and see if they turn them?..Is the engine in neutral?

Hey Carl, Have you checked to see if the piston is sticking in the caliper or have you tried to bleed the system a little?
Try the system bleeding first... shouldn't take much if you have air in the line..(This is the same for the front or rear brakes.)
If you have been riding in mud, dirt, water, (I know-that's where we all ride!)..sometimes the piston (The brake caliper piston - NOT the engine piston) will get a tiny bit of corrosion around it and start sticking..this will cause the brakes to seem if they are on constantly.. IF your progress to diagnose this gets this far.. it is a fix for someone with some experience and knowledge. It requires removal and disassembly of the calipers, cleaning of the caliper, replacing the caliper o-ring, wet sanding the O.D. of the piston with brake fluid and 1200 grit sand paper, then a thorough cleaning of the caliper piston. Then reassembling all these cleaned (and the piston/o-ring lubed with brake fluid). installed back on the atv, ..ALL the brake system fluid should have been replaced and now the system bled completely. Hey. Take your caliper off. Loosen your brake fluid cap and take a pair of vise grips and squeeze the caliper bad slowly. Some you may have to turn the caliper a little to get it to go back. Hope this answers your question

remove the wheel then undo the big nut in the center then remove the brake caliper then remove the big nut and the hub will come off !

You will have to replace the caliper.

Replace the idle jet (don't clean) with a new one from a Yamaha OEM only $5.00 & make sure the idle mixture adjustment on the bottom of the carb. is set 3 1/2 turns out from seated in (a brass screw ---Don't over tighten & break off the needle tip). Also , be sure the choke is all the way off or it won't idle either.

you might have to take it apart again and see whats up. maybe the new seal has come out of the slot and jammed it??

replace the $5.00 idle jet with a new one (don't try to clean) & make sure the idle mixture screw is 3 turns out from seated (don't over tighten or will break off tip in Carb

new pads or rebuild the calipers.
