I have 1999 Polaris Sportsman 500. Just replaced the carb, but now it will not start or run. I've adjusted the idle screw, etc. Ideas?

Adjust idle and mixture screws to default positions - start it and then make the necessary adjustments. Idle speed, low and high speed mixture settings if applicable..

Tranny works, shifter wont shift the gears. how to fix?

My 2005 Polaris ATP 500 requires I depress the right foot brake while shifting into reverse or down into low range. Perhaps some adjustment on the foot brake to make this work. Also check linkage to make sure it is not binding. Others say if the idle speed is too high, you may not be able to shift. Try shifting with the engine off to see if it goes into the gears, using the foot brake. If yes, try again while at low idle speed.

2013 800s rzr misses at low speed

Solid state ignition has a capacitor that must charge and when the right time comes a SCR will dump the charge into the coil to make a spark. There is a minimum voltage that is required to trigger the SCR and at low RPMs that normally is close to being not enough. Most likely you will need to change out that CDI ignition or check the coil in the magneto, it may need to be adjusted closer to the flywheel.

Polaris troubleshooting

Sounds like a carb issue...make sure you have fresh ,clean gas.You havent got water in your carb/tank have you? I would start by taking the carb apart and give it a really good clean.Check all jets and orifices.Another words, take apart anything in the carb that you can, clean and replace.

Why does my 650 brute force pa pa at low speed or down hill

Sounds like bad gas or water in the gas. Could be needing rebuild in the carbs. Start by trying some sea foam in your gas tank.
