leaking injector , injector seal or if carby , needle and seat not sealing off and flooding into the manifold

carb flooding over, gas build up, try turning off gas supply then crank it over. try shut gas off when ur not riding

If you have spark at the right time, fuel, air.... you might try a spray of staring fluid. I would then check the compression. If it is too low it will not start.

if the plug/s are wet , that is flooding and that is excessive fuel or float level , probably from a problem in the needle and seat area where the fuel supply is not being controlled
remove the needle and seat and clean all dirt and rubbish from the needle ans seat area
could come from rust and dirt in the tank so consider an inline fuel filter before the carby/s

pull the plug and see if its wet.

check transmission shift levers.
polaris has over ride safety switches..
owners manual may help....
or fuel ice blockage at or near the tank pickup,or flow/noflow valve.
could be ice in float bowl of carb. (if not efi.)
...maybe use hair dryer to heat area near carb/efi unit.

Sounds like the ignition coil.

Sounds like fuel vapor lock. Wrap heat resistant material around line where close to heat source.

carbon on the plugs indicates flooding
the backfire indicates fuel being ignited in the exhaust
have the carby /fuel system professionally overhauled
