Your Charging system is not working. You may need to replace the alternator. The only reason it runs when you are hooked to a charger is your battery is not holding a charge and the alternator is not producing the electricity needed to fire the spark plugs. When you hook up to charger, you now have the voltage necessary to fire the spark plugs.

one is a drain hose. then there is one from tank to inlet of carb.

Did you try pushing in brake are clutch? and have you checked to make sure fuses are not blown.

obviously its a problem with the float. could be a bad needle or seat also.

could just be a weak starter? maybe time for new brushes. also try jumping the solenoid to see if that helps.

check your compression. piston rings might be ate up and its time for a rebuild.

check your carb for air leaks. might need cleaning too.

put rocks in where? if the gas tank then your petcock filter is probably clogged

If after starting and while it is running disconnect the battery...if it still runs then the alternator is working. Also you can connect a volt meter accross the battery and it should read 13-15 volts if working.

sounds like an air leak

your carb float valve has gone bad

take it back

its probably the same. check yamaha for a model number. usually something like YFM 350 and search for that service manual.

if its a four stroke you have to remove the timing chain too.
