The housing for electrolytic cell has a yellow cast. how do if fix this
Are you really determined to keep a 7 year old graphics card working? Because if you're having issues with one cap now, and actually manage to de-solder and replace it with another equivalent part, every other part on that board is the same age and has gone through the same number of thermal cycles. I honestly recommend (and I still run a GTX 285 in a standby machine) moving up to at least a 500 or 600 series card. You should see a good jump in performance and ability; the Zotac 250 Eco was underclocked out of the box to keep it from overheating.

Just installed a new geforce gt 640 video card and drivers and now i have a red tinted screen with vertical lines
The card may not be set into the slot properly. Make certain the computer is OFF when you check the interior of the computer case. Crossing the tangs (small flat pins on the board) can damage the controller, so be careful when inserting or pulling it out. Press down firmly on the top of the card and seat the card so it won't move side to side. Reattach your Computer Monitor cable in the correct position and screw down the attachments to make a positive connection. Check the Monitor and see if the Cable is well attached also. Start up and see if that fixted the problem. If not the Controller is defective.
