480 cleaner stops wheels seem loose
The axels are held on by a retainer attached with screws. I had a similiar problem with my polaris. Had to open up and locate the loose screws and re attach. Also the wheels are held on to the shaft with a c-clip. May be missing and the wheel fixin to come off
My Polaris 3900 isn't running
Check the following things that could be causing problems in these
pool cleaners. If it is getting stuck on stairs, etc., first check the wheel RPM and make sure it is correct. Verify that the back up valve is cycling (lift the valve out of the water and watch the jet - it should come on and go off). Adjust your thrust jets if necessary. You might also have to install a ladder guard kit (part #G21).
One of these might also be causing in to not connect to the pool surface, but for this problem, you will also want to check the cleaner head and make sure that it is not full of water. Replace if it is.
I purchased a new pool pump and want to hook it
It does not matter which wire goes to which post. As long as you put one on each and the ground wire on the green screw it will work fine. Be sure you select the proper voltage if your motor is dual rated. It must be set to match the line voltage present at the motor for it to work properly.
