Loose fire after 10 minutes of riden

Not much information here but the first thing I would look at would be your ignition coil followed by your stator. It is more likely to be your stator (they can build up heat then cut out only to cut back in once temps have dropped ) but this is harder to check whereas the ignition coil is easy to get to and replace for not too much money. Never hurts to have a spare coil around.Testing of the stator requires a mulitmeter and a bit more knowledge. Replacement of the stator is much more work than replacing the ignition coil.

I have a three year old Piaggio 50cc Zip scooter.

I have had the same problem with my stepsons zip 50 and have done all the usual checks. The solution is from a piaggio technition. Take off the air cleaner and housing, start the scooter and bring it to the point where the engine dies. At this point spray easy start or a gasoline spray direct down the carb intake. If the revs pick up, you have a lack of crank case compression and the most likely reason is worn oil seals on the crankshaft. It sounds odd but the worn seals cause all kinds of strange problems.
Thats 2 stokes for you. Hope it helps, good luck

Is there a safety switch on yumbo bikes to keep it

As far as I know, there is none. You might want to check if the choke lever is set to on because if it is, it will only try to start then die.

My Yumbo Dakar 200cc bike dies after riding in 5th

G'day,
I have a couple of ideas what may help.
First I would think it was starving for fuel.Or maybe an unusual ignition system fault- So how do we find out?
Well-you could try checking the bike for spark immediately after the bike stops.
Remove the spark plug-Re-fit to the cap-place plug resting on metal where you can see it(DO NOT HOLD PLUG-HIGH VOLTAGE)-kick over & check for spark. If theres no spark-try a new plug but if the problem persists then the bike has a faulty ignition(coil,cap,plug,stator.ignition/kill switch, wireing)
I think it is more likely starving for fuel.
A faulty fuel tank filler cap vent or carby vent tube pinched or blocked.
To check the filler cap-ride the bike & when the problem just starts-quickly crack open the fuel tank filler cap to let air in/out. If bike runs ok then the cap is blocked.
To check the carby vents -just look at them & make sure none are blocked or pinched. They usually come from each side of the carby & one from the bottom(usually clear or semi-clear hoses).
I hope that this helps you with your problem.
Regards Andrew Porrelli

Sparkplug is getting dirty fast

Hi and welcome to fixya,

Looks to me like a bad fuel-air mix.. You'll need to lean out your mixture. Try 3 turns out from full close. This adjustment is not the idle knob. Its a straight bit brass screw on the carbuerator that would look like a needle when you unscsrew it off.

Hope this helps

I cannot locate the spot to terminate the small

Ok this is going to be a two part answer, the tube that you are talking about is at the very bottom of the carb? If so it is the drain for the float bowl. the tube that it is plug to should be ran down the back side of the motor most common between the swingarm and motor.
Now about starting it, has it been sitting for any amount of time? if so you'll need to clean your carb, if your not sure what your getting into your home shop should be able to help you out, something you can try pull out you spark plug clean it up ( carb spay and wire brush blow dry with air ) put the spark plug cap on the plug and set so the only the bottom of the plug is touching the motor and just hold ot in place WARNING holding the plug cap while checking for spark could shock you but its nothing to bad. but kick the bike and see if it has spark.

Idicators have stoped working on yeben 50cc

Hi,
1. Check weather the bulb got fused out or not
2. If not, then check weather all other accessories like horn are working good. If not, the main connection to battery may have problem.
3. Near the battrey check for any wire worn out or there may be some fuse provided for your sidelight. check and replace them if worn out.
I hope this is helpful to you

Where is the spark plug on a 54 plate zip 50

not too familiar with this bike but probably right in the centre of cylinder head at top of engine .could be dificult to get socket on it as looks to be close to underside of of petrol tank and frame make sure you fit new one with fingers for most of its thread as it willeasily cross thresd and ruin the head. don't force it at all otherwise you'll be in trouble best to get a bike shop to do it they will have the right tools and a bit of finesse to do it properly, could be the cheapest and easiest way out , good luvk, that engine is quite fragile as it appears to be all aluminium, light but easily damaged when working on it. have patience.

Could just be cold blooded. Does sound like fuel is being primed to be able to start. if a person has to use starter fluid, then that means the carb is not getting enough gas at start up. Carb will most likely need to be pulled apart and soaked in solvent or equivelant for couple hours. Make sure float is adjusted properly and fuel filter is clean
