I'd suspect you need a new adjustment cable and/or the winder is broken. The latter happened to my York 2500 Pacer and I replaced the cable & handle with a bike gear change mechanism.

Page 14 refers to changes in speed and incline. But you are looking for more assistance. The words "calibrate" and "reset" oddly enough are not in the manual. I don't know. You can try the company site requesting the information or one of the following 3rd party parts suppliers. The company site offers a lubircation kit (out of stock). Nor can I pull up a user manual for the treadmill at the company site. But you may have more luck getting information form one ob the belt suppliers. Prices seem to vary between $89 and about $150 for such. The belts seem to be sold in two different qualities and the number of plys varies among such. That doesn't necessarily mean the cheaper price indicates less quality. No that is not right. The cables should be taut when at rest. Either you have them routed incorrectly or they need replacing or shortening.
