Hello,

before you insert the web-cam into another computer, make sure you install the driver first. If you install the driver on the computer, the computer will automatically install the web-cam and will not ask you load to load disc.

The disc is requesting for is the web-cam driver. So install the driver first, then insert the web-cam after that, and the computer should install the web-cam.

But make sure you install the correct driver for the web-cam.

Good luck.

Cant seem to get my xtatix

Hello,

Firstly, visit the xtatix webcam link below, scroll down and under "drivers" you will see about two different drivers for your web-cam. Download the two drivers and see any any or both will work.

http://www.xtatix.com/xtatix_advantage/downloads/

Before you install the drivers, uninstall the previous one you installed. Also note that you need to install the drivers first, before you connect the xtatix webcam to your computer.

If the above does not resolve the problem, then we need to know where the problem is coming from. Because the problem might be coming from the computer.

In other to know which direction to focus our attention on, I would advice that you test the web-cam on another computer system, and see if the web-cam will work on the system.

Let me know the out come of what happens after you install the driver and also when you connect it to another computer.

I wish you good luck.

Here is something you might want to try. Go to the Sonix Technology web site Sonix.com and download a driver to the following web cam: SN9C201 It has a version for Mac and Windows and it works on everything from Windows 98 to Vista. It is a little bit larger download (11.8 MB compared to 7.5 MB from Xtatix) but I believe it is well worth it to get you up and running.

Says not passing windows logo test upon install.. saying no video found

If it's not passing the windows logo test, it just means the drivers are not verified by Microsoft. You can go ahead and install the drivers as long as its a legitimate driver from the manufacturer you will have nothing to worry about. :)
