I would think you could fix it by turning the machine off , disconnecting all the cables from the scanner and document feeder, then reconnecting them tightly. Turn back on, If not here is the info on the fault.
At the adjustment of CCD output after power on, CCD does not make a correct output which it should when it receives a specified amount of light.
