Ambient temperature
This is true of all HVAC type systems. The condensor releases heat from the expansion of the coolant. As long as the temperature is lower than the exchanged heat then there is no impact to efficiency.
Mildew in woods refrigerator
If it is being used, it should be too cold for mold (Mildew) to be able to grow. Upright refrigerators already have a circulation fan in them. Mildew won't form in an environment that cold unless the fan is not running and there is a small air leak around the door seals. The picture above looks like a commercial box. If so, the fan is normally mounted and easy to see, mounted on the top panel, inside of the box. If its a residential model, the fan can be berried behind the back inside panel and difficult to access. If there is a switch visible around the door frame, pushing it in should start the fan. I'm guessing that the mildew is present on the door seal? Try sliding a stiff dollar bill between the door seal and the refrigerator all the way around the door. If it makes it in any where, the seal is leaking at that point. If I am way off with all of this advise, let me know in detail how this is wrong and I can go from there. Hope this is good advise for you. Let me know. Good luck.
Light bulb replacement
Try a APPLIANCE PARTS/REPAIR shop..... If they can not get it for you, it can not be gotten....
Woods chest freezer when top is lift light comes on but the wire hook up broke
You can put the wires back together by twisting stripped ends together and sealing the repaired spot with "Heat shrink tubing". Most hardware stores carry the tubing (or can help you to find some). Put the tubing on one of the ends, twist them together good and tight, bend the wire flat against either wire, move the tubing down over it and heat with a lighter to shrink it. Get the right size so it shrinks tight for a good seal. Make it long enough to extend an inch or so past the twisted wires on both sides. If the wiring can't be repaired for some reason, an exact replacement would need to come the manufacturer. If regular lamp cord will work, the hardware store should have that too. If you need to pull a new wire through the insulation, let me know. I can give you a tip or two to make it easier. Good luck.
The fan is very noisy
His idea makes sense. If the noise stops sometimes, then pretty much that is it, especially if the noise is near the top of the freezer and not down below. Unfortunately some fans are hard to get to. Best of luck.
