This is just going to be a shorted display board. There aren't any
fuses or resets that would cut out the power to the display board. There isn't anything you can do at this point except to replace the display control board to fix the issue. If you're handy, you can replace it yourself. It will just take you 15-20 minutes. You may get replacement part from Sears. You may call them at 1-800-252-1698. Just get your model # ready when you call.

I have a westinghouse upright/vertical freezer,
You have a short circuit. Start by checking your wire repair (after unplugging the freezer of course!). Make sure that the two wires cannot touch each other and are not crossed. If you or a friend has an electrical test meter and knows how to check for short circuits, this is the time to do so.
If your repair is good, look carefully for more chewed wires. A pair may have been chewed through and are touching, or one conductor may be in contact with bare metal on your freezer.
With an electrical test meter, you can set it to OHMS and check between either side of the plug and a bare metal part on the freezer. Only the grounding pin on the plug should read a low resistance to a bare metal part. If either of the other pins on the plug read a low resistance, follow back to find the short.
If you do not have a meter around and cannot find somebody with one, you will need to call in a technician to look at it. If you have to do this, make sure you get an estimate before they do any work. Good Luck!
How to remove drip tray at back of aeg fridge
On an AEG SANTO 3533, the tray sits on top of the compressor. There is a short metal "tunnel" on top of the compressor. The tray has a plastic clip in the middle which goes through the tunnel and latches up on the other side. To remove, reach to the back of the metal in the middle of the tray, press the plastic clip firmly down, and pull/wiggle the tray backwards horizontally to remove. Needed a torch to see clearly on mine. One of these things that's easy once you've done it once.
