Speaker is likely blown. It is replaceable, but you can just go to walmart or where your favorite store is and purchase a soundbar. Bluetooth or hard wired, and not worry about the tv speaker. Sound will be much better, abd you can do yourself in a matter of minutes.

You might check for updates. Or try reset to factory then either stop or limit updates if possible. This sounds like a software glitch. It is also possible that an update didnt load properly but still worked until this issue.

Debris... recently found part of plastic wrapping inside a unit. DVD would play for a minute , skip, then reset. DVD lenses could also be dirty.

Check the voltage on the booster.

I had the same problem...turned out it wasnt the TV at all. It was actually the wall socket. Seems I had to many things plugged into one wall supply. (i.e. xbox 360, wii, audio reciever, dvd player, vcr, etc...) after switching some other items to a different socket my TV works GREAT!! I hope your problem is this simple!
