Your TV might of had died on you guys and has stopped working too. Or it could be a power supply problems. It would be more cheaper to purchase another TV than to try and repair the current TV that is no longer working.

You did not post the model number to see what parts can be purchased whole. However, unless you can solder and have basic skills in disassembly of electronics, it would not be possible to make a component level repair on the unit. There is either bad capacitors that are allowing too much ripple current into the boad or the back lights are drawing too much power

Try removing the batteries in your remote and switch it on manually. If not OK. Try unplugging it for 1 day and connect it again. That usually resets its electronics. If it fails then the power supply electronics needs repair.

Hello,there are so many reasons why your TV won't bring out sound. You need to troubleshoot first, in order to get to the root of the problem, before a solution can be proffered.First, connect a DVD player to the TV, observe if there is going to be sound. If there is still no sound after connecting the DVD player to the TV, proceed to the next step. "The reason why I asked you to connect a DVD player to the TV is to confirm if the problem is simply not from the audio cord connected to the TV."Second, get an headset, connect it to the earphone jack of the TV and observe if there is going to be sound. If there is no sound, then it is glaring now that your TV is having a defective sound card/IC that's why it is not bring out any sound.
