If you mean that the wheels seem loose on their spindles then your wheel bearings may need to be replaced. If you mean there is excess play in the steering then your tie rod ends, pittman arm, or idler arm are worn and need to be replaced. Put the wheels back on the ground and try shifting the tie rod back and forth. There should be no free play. If you replace any of the steering parts, you will need to get a front end alignment.

unless you own a scan tool you could search for hours and still find nothing, try resetting the unit by pulling the fuse for a minute, if the light comes back on have the truck scanned
