Anything under 100 psi after 5 good pulls would suggest it has internal damage or wear.

My initial guess is that the unit overheated and cooked the motor. It not unheard of, especially if you were using it hard.

The thing to remember is this is a purge bulb, not a primer, so the bulb is pulling fuel out of the carb, and dumping it back to the tank, the short pipe on the purge bulb is the suction side so goes to the carb, the long connection on the purge is the pressure side so goes back to the fuel tank.

With out the choke, the plug is not likely to have visible fuel condensate. If after priming it fires, sputters and dies then likely there's a problem with fuel delivery. If you're using fuel more than a month old, replace with new fuel (fresh from pump) and mix. Check the following

• Cracked fuel line(s)
• Fuel filter
• Cracked primer bulb (may not be visible so replace)
• Carburetor mounting has become loose (vacuum leak)
• Carburetor gasket or adapter is cracked

If still doesn't run, then likely the carb needs a clean/rebuild or replace. You could try Seafoam (or similar) additive. There's also a possibility of a crankcase leak. Keep in mind a china duplicate replacement carburetor for this unit is ~ $10, delivery included (USA), from Ebay or Amazon.

If the line simply came loose from spool, you can usually re- wind line back onto spool tightly in a clockwise direction then replace spool on weedeater and guide end of line out the little hole and replace cover/cap.

indicates that then drive cable is on the way out it runs in rubber bushes in the tube so they maybe badly worn as well the head you have fitted is only for straight shaft drives and would have contributed to early cable and bush failure

Try a new spark plug. A bad spark plug will spark in the open but not under compression.
