My GSW series 6 water heater will not light
Check to be sure you have gas. I know this is a long shot, but one of my renters had complained about no hot water. When I went out to check, the pilot light was out and I couldn't light it. Then checked the gas stove and it didn't light as well. Then I check the gas meter outside the house and it was turned off and locked. Apparently they hadn't paid their gas bill.
Tankless water heater not turning on
There are several reasons your water heater could fail to ignite. Often, this issue is caused by the gas supply, so check to make sure your propane tank is full before you do anything else. If your gas valve or water valves are not fully opened, this could also cause the ignition to fail.
I have a 50 gallon electric hot water heater that is not heating. I have replaced everything inside with new. I have even checked and rechecked the wiring and it is all correct. Why?
A 50 gal. Electric wtr htr has two heating elements and one thermostat, there is usually a red reset button on the thermostat, make sure pwr to thermosat then to elements (if elements had pwr with no wtr in tank, they are toast, try reading continuity thru elements with pwr off,and wires disconnected (this will tell you if elements are good,if so check pwr on line (coming in from pwr source)and if you have pwr ,check the load side (pwr going to elements)if all is good with thermostat pwr in and out and both elements have pwr and are reading thru (continuinty)make sure temp dial is not at max (could have high temp shutout)remember 50 gal is gonna be 220v (black wire-line 1 hot wire, red wire-line 2 hot wire, white wire is usually neutral, but if there is no red wire,it could be your 2nd hot wire and green is ground wire, make sure it has a good ground.
Hope this helps,and good luck......
How do I reset hot water heater in model #601131
A typical answer for this·1. Cut off power to the water heater at the panel·2. Check the water heater reset button- The water heater reset button is the red button situated on the water radiator itself (simply over the indoor regulator). Some water heater may have two reset catches one for each indoor regulator. To get to the reset catch, you may need to evacuate the metal plate covering the indoor regulator that is held set up by screws. You may likewise need to evacuate a rectangular bit of froth protection to see the reset catch(button). 3.DO NOT reset if safety features continuously trip. For More Information You Can Visit: https://www.indiapropertyclinic.com/services/water-heater-install-repair
