Eng turns strong, 2007 Freightliner Columbia 60 series Detroit

YOUR PROBLEM MAY NOT BE THE FUSE TO THE E.C.U. TRY THIS. 1. TURN ON THE KEY AND LOOK FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (USUALLY YELLOW) AND THE STOP ENGINE LIGHT (USUALLY RED) WHEN YOU FIRST TURN ON THE KEY THEY SHOULD COME ON. AFTER ABOUT 5 SECONDS OR SO THEY SHOULD GO OFF. WAIT!!!!! ANOTHER 5 SECONDS AND SEE IF THEY COME ON. IF NOT TRY STARTING THE ENGINE.

IF THESE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON WHEN YOU TURN ON THE KEY THEN CHECK THE WIRE THAT LEADS FROM THE POSITIVE SIDE OF ONE OF THE BATTERIES AND CONNECTS TO THE ECU.
IF THIS IS LOOSE IT WILL CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. THERE ALSO MAY BE AN INLINE FUSE ON THIS WIRE TO PROTECT THE ECU CHECK THE FUSE.

IF THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND CAME BACK ON THEN YOUR ECU IS SHOWING A FAULT CODE. WITH THE ENGINE OFF AND THE KEY ON, PUSH THE ENGINE OVERRIDE BUTTON AND TAKE A PEN AND PAPER AND WRITE DOWN THE FAULT CODES. THE WAY YOU GET THE CODES IS BY WATCHING AND COUNTING THE NUMBER OF FLASHES OF THE YELLOW LIGHT AND THE RED LIGHT. FOR INSTANCE IF THE YELLOW FLASHES 5 TIMES AND THE RED FLASHES 3 THEN YOURE GETTING FAULT CODE 53. FIND YOUR CODE AND CALL THE SERVICE DEPOT AT THE DEALER AND FIND OUT THE DEFINITION OF THIS CODE.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST CHECK THE COOLANT AND ENGINE OIL BECAUSE THESE TWO THINGS WILL SHUT DOWN AN ELECTRONIC ENGINE FASTER THAN ANYTHING. ESPECIALLY IF A SENSOR HAS GONE BAD SUCH AS COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR OR OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. MY EMAIL IS [email protected] HOPE I WAS ABLE TO POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM.

Hi, Here is the link for the PDF file for the Walther PK380. Chapter 11 deals with disassembly, and I do see the spring you are speaking of in the schematic. I hope this helps, and have heard many folks with the same complaint.http://www.carlwalther.com/docs/8.505.82.01_instruciton_manual_for_pk380.pdf In addition, you can contact their US customer service. If the wheels don't move even when you try to "slide" them with your fingers, the possible problem is with the motor brushes: with a pair of tweezers gently push the springs that hold the brushes (there is one cooper brush and a carbon brush, on the motor). Remove the brushes and replace them by new ones (available from any Marklin dealer). Notice that there are 2 brush models - for old motors and new motors (these ones use 2 carbon brushes instead). Hope this helps. Best!

Do Petroleum Engineers enjoy their job in Jakarta Indonesia?

Depends upon which Petroleum Engineering sub-discipline one pursues. There are 3 sub-disciplines, Drilling Engineer, Production Engineer, and Reservoir Engineer. A Drilling Engineer, as the name would imply, is tasked with the drilling of well meant to produce oil or gas. They generally work both in an office and out in the field at well sites. A Production Engineer is tasked with getting the well to produce oil and gas after it is drilled and later to economically keep the well flowing making oil or gas. They generally work both in an office and out in the field at well sites. A Reservoir Engineer works in concert with Geoscientists (geologist, geophysicist, petro physicist) to locate reserves of oil and gas an quantify the value of the oil and gas. After the well is producing the Reservoir Engineer will keep track of how much of the reserve has been produced along with how much there is left to produce from the reservoir. Reservoir Engineers generally work just in an office. As for what it's like. Imagine a job where everything you do is done through a 5-1/2" pipe 2-miles long. Unlike other engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, etc. the Petroleum Engineer can never see what they are doing with a well.

Had my 2008 Freightliner in the shop 3 times in a month for a new ignition switch.Because having trouble starting it. It wants to crank but stops dead. Can hear power going to fuse box. Just got it ou

Low voltage makes for high amperage, which burns switches.A poor connection between the switch and the fuse box or the starter relay can cause this high amperage.

Probably the springs of the inverter unit are broken or too old. If you replace them by new Marklin springs, it shoud work. Notice that they must be the correct Marklin springs: any other springd probably won't work because their tension is not the correct one. Best!
