Pink vertical lines on scanned documents can be is easily fixed by opening the paper feeder. To do this, open document lid, then lift feederup for about 45 degrees, then clean the narrow glass directly under the scanner. You can use a flash light to look at the position that causes the line to appear so you can identify the problem. Dust or tiny pieces of paper may be left behind once in a while while sheets are fed into the scanner. Clean it using a damp microfiber cloth. Smeared glass, can be cleaned using rubbing alcohol on cloth. You can also vacuum the paperfeeder tray to lessen dust in the scanner opening.

It will scan negatives. I suggest you try placing the negative on a white piece of paper to help with scanning. Set it to mono for old black and white negatives. You can convert the negatives to positive images with any photo editing software after you load them into a pc, laptop or Apple device

You may be out of luck. The manufacturer site says it works with Win 10 but the link is dead The list of documentation and drivers does not give a driver for your model. Anything larger than 1 GB is ok. There is no specification the more scans you want to do, the bigger the card should be

The ArcSoft PhotoImaging suite is just to process and scan images, but the printer hardware itself needs hardware drivers, which contain coded instructions to communicate with your CPU. This is the HP scanning software. Printer/Scanner hardware should have a driver setup disk that came with it. If you have this disk: shut down PC unplug printer boot PC uninstall the current version, if in start>control panel>programs restart PC install driver from disk or downloaded driver file for your model. I think that Ebay would be a good starting point.

Setting date/time may solve the problem. Memory chips want that. It's done on the screen with enter and up/down buttons. Connect the USB next. Check computer for files saved on the microSD. You should be able to delete or format if it really is full.

If it has a battery it must be defective.
