Volvo alarm will not turn off. What is proceedure

Right off the bat you should disconnect the battery before it's drained, then find the connecting wires for the siren/horn and disconnect them (reconnect the battery) so that you can make the trip to the dealer quietly.
Call your local dealer and request a Jumper Relay for your alarm, if you take the relay out without replacing it with the jumper, then your car will not start.
Good luck!

Alarm sounding on 2004 Volvo S60 D5 for no apparent reason.

Temporarily, you can go to the fuse box inside your car [open the driver's door and the panel is on the end of the dash, which is hidden when the door is closed.] And pull the last fuse, #38, for the siren.

The owner's manual states that pulling the fuse, or if it's damaged/burnt/blown, that the alarm will sound. That's not true. BTW, I learned of all this from three different Volvo forums/user groups, tonight. My '03 S60 started having a near constant running of the alarm. [It's usual 25 second run, a very short pause, and then it'd go again.]

Pulling the fuse disables the siren, but the rest of the alarm still works as usual. Blinking lights, and if it has it, an ignition kill. You can verify buy closing all doors, but keeping the drivers window down. Then arm the alarm. Wait 30 seconds. Manually pull up on the door lock pin. Then open the door. The amber lights should start flashing. And your dash will have a message that the alarm was triggered, and to check the vehicle.

The problem and it's permanent solution: the batteries in the siren module go bad after some time, and if they leak their electrolyte fluid, that'll corrode the circuit board and/or quite commonly, it turns out, corrode one of the two +/- wires connecting the battery to the circuit board. Thus, messing up the alarms sense of reality, and triggering the alarm at random times/intervals.

Need to get a replacement siren module [can't get circuit board separately, apparently.] and either have fun trying to replace it yourself [dealing with rivets] or have the dealership do it. They'll say you need to do a software reset, but you just need to arm/disarm the system three times to reset it. [according to the forum posts I've read.]

Good luck!

Peugeot expert central locking not working

A faulty central locking system might be due to several reasons, such as a blown fuse, faulty solenoid, or electrical wiring issues. Also, it's good to remember the fault might not be with the central car locking system but the key fob instead; over time, fobs require battery changes.

1944c Furuno radar array won't spin 7 years old. Just beeping

It seems like you're dealing with a technical issue related to a Furuno radar array. If the radar array is not spinning and is emitting a beeping sound, there could be several possible reasons for this problem. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check Power Supply: Ensure that the radar array is receiving proper power. Check the power cables, connections, and any fuses that might be relevant. Make sure the power source is functional and providing the correct voltage.
  2. Inspect Mechanical Components: If the radar array won't spin, there could be a mechanical issue with the rotating mechanism. Check for any obstructions or debris that might be preventing the rotation. Lubricate any moving parts if necessary.
  3. Connection and Wiring: Examine the connections between the radar array and its control/display unit. Loose or damaged cables could cause communication problems and result in the array not spinning. Ensure all connections are secure and undamaged.
  4. Software and Configuration: Sometimes, software settings or configuration options can affect the operation of the radar array. Check the user manual or documentation to ensure that the radar is properly configured. Try resetting the settings to default and see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Error Codes or Messages: If the radar is emitting beeping sounds, it might be indicating an error condition. Refer to the user manual or any accompanying documentation for a list of error codes or messages and their meanings. This could help pinpoint the problem.
  6. Contact Support: If you've tried the above steps and the issue persists, it might be best to contact Furuno's customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on the model of your radar array and the symptoms you're experiencing.
Remember, working with electronic equipment requires caution to avoid electrical hazards. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's always a good idea to seek professional help.

What does Fo4 mean on a Vector battery jump box?

The "F04" code on a Vector battery jump box typically indicates a fault or error within the unit or its connections. This error could be caused by a poor connection, a damaged battery clamp, or an issue with the box itself. To help fix the issue, try these steps:

1. Ensure the battery clamps are clean and not damaged.
2. Check the connections between the jump box and the battery terminals. Ensure the positive (+) clamp is connected to the positive terminal and the negative (-) clamp is connected to the negative terminal or a suitable ground location on the vehicle.
3. If possible, test the jump box on another vehicle to confirm it is working correctly.
4. If the issue still remains, consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for further assistance or information on potential repair options.

Warning lights ford transit orange oil can and spanner

The orange oil can and spanner warning lights in a Ford Transit indicate an issue with the engine oil or a general engine malfunction. Here are the possible reasons for each warning light:
  1. Orange Oil Can: This warning light typically indicates a problem with the engine oil pressure. It may mean that the engine oil level is low or that there is an issue with the oil pump or oil pressure sensor. Low oil pressure can lead to engine damage, so it is important to address this warning promptly.
    • Check the engine oil level: Ensure that the engine oil level is at the recommended level. If it is low, add the appropriate oil type and quantity as specified in the owner's manual.
    • Inspect for oil leaks: Look for any visible oil leaks under the vehicle. Leaks should be repaired by a qualified mechanic.
    • Faulty oil pressure sensor: If the oil level and leaks are not the issue, there may be a problem with the oil pressure sensor. A diagnostic scan should be performed to determine the exact cause.
  2. Spanner (Wrench): This warning light indicates a general engine malfunction or a fault in the vehicle's electronic system. It can be triggered by various issues, such as a problem with the engine management system, emission control system, or other related components.
    • Check engine codes: Have the vehicle's onboard diagnostic system scanned to retrieve any stored error codes. These codes can help pinpoint the specific issue causing the warning light to illuminate.
    • Seek professional diagnosis: Based on the retrieved error codes, a qualified mechanic will be able to diagnose and address the underlying problem.
It is important not to ignore these warning lights, as they indicate potential issues that require attention. Continuing to drive the vehicle without addressing the problem could lead to further damage or breakdown.

Avital remote starts up and shuts off

If your Avital remote start system is starting up and then immediately shutting off, it could be due to a few different issues. One possibility is that there is a problem with the system's wiring, which could be causing a short circuit or other electrical issue. Another possibility is that there is a problem with the ignition switch or other components in the vehicle's electrical system. To diagnose and fix the issue, it is recommended to bring your vehicle to a certified installer or mechanic who has experience with Avital remote start systems. They can perform a thorough inspection of the system and vehicle to determine the root cause of the issue and recommend the appropriate repairs.

Divoom bluetune solo crackles when charging with ac adaptor whilst operating

Crackling sounds can be caused by a number of factors when using a speaker, including interference from other electronic devices, damaged speakers, or connectivity issues. In this case, it seems that the issue may be related to the power source. It is possible that the AC adapter is not providing a stable and consistent power supply to the speaker, which is causing the crackling sound. Alternatively, there may be an issue with the charging port on the speaker, which could be causing the sound. To troubleshoot the issue, try using a different power source, such as a different AC adapter or a USB port on a computer, and see if the crackling sound persists. If the issue persists, it may be necessary to have the speaker examined by a professional or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
