Run the engine til hot, check the transmission fluid... If it is dark/dirty red and smells bad, it needs to be changed. If it hasnt been changed in your knowledge in the last 40,000 miles, change it anyway. If that doesnt fix it and the fluid was very smelly even after u changed it and ran it for an hour on the road, the trans may have to be rebuilt. There are some treatments you can add and many do work well, so go to autozone or Napa and check em out. I would recommend high mileage additives anyway if the mileage is high as you'll get more life out of the transmissio...hope that helps...if so rate me..

How old is the battery? They're good for about 6 years. What about any lights, etc. that may be left on? Check that trunk lights, under the hood (engine) lights are not on when the key is removed.

If you have a coolant leak at the rear of the engine, there are not too many choices that it could be. Either the turbo itself, the coolant hose to the turbo, or possibly a hose going to the heater core.

low octane fuel can cause this, try using 90+ octane and see if it stops.

I had this problem once. The flare nut was too rounded to pull with a wrench and not enough space for a Vise Grip. What I ended up using was a small pipe wrench. Spray with WD 40 first and give it a few taps.
Good luck

If I remember right, your car does not have a trans filter. I'm pretty sure it has a particulate screen to catch contaminates that can be cleaned and re-used. But your fluid needs flushed and replaced. Do not have it flushed with a circulator pump as this will push all of your seals out. Just drain and refill your system 3 times driving it a short distance between changes. On your 2nd change, I add a bottle of Trans-X and drive about 100 miles before your last change. This usually takes care of the issue. If not, it is time to seek a transmission shop.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.
for this u can try reliable-store which is pretty good
